lmost two and a half years ago, I had just enrolled in a graduate program and I remember feeling overwhelmed with the fact that for the next two years I would have to juggle the demands of a full-time job and school. For a moment, I even thought that maybe I should reconsider my decision. Then in December on my way home from work, I caught The Story, which had a program on about a retired cardiovascular surgeon sharing his experience of going through a Divinity School. I do not remember the title of the program or the name of the surgeon, but I clearly remember the impact the story had on me. If a successful surgeon in his sixties can have enough drive and energy to enroll in another educational program, then there was no doubt in my mind that I had no excuses in my late 30s. At the end of May in 2013, I will be graduating with my M.S. in Psychology.
