Message from Anissa, Giving Back to our Community Initiative

Message From Ms. Anissa

I LOVE this time of year! The days are getting longer and the air is getting warmer. The wet, earthy smell of the ground thawing. The birds singing from the tree tops, SPRING IS NEAR! COME OUTSIDE! And the puddles! BIG, GIGANTIC PUDDLES just begging to be jumped in. Some of my favorite memories with my nephew are the days we put on our rain boots and went out to search for the biggest puddles we could find. We got so wet and laughed so hard! There is something so lovely about this time of year as we come out of hibernation and reconnect with one another. One great way to connect is volunteering as a special guest at Cultivate Mankato! During the month of March, our study is Recycle, Reduce, Reuse. This encompasses so many different areas: recycled art, sorting, composting, science experiments, repurposing used materials… So many possibilities! If you would like to be a classroom guest, let me know! We would love to have you! anissa@cultivatemankato.com Thinking ahead… April Study - Spring | May Study - Water

Giving Back to Our Community Initiative

During the month of March we will be collecting personal care items to be given out at the Project Community Connect Expo on April 19. "Project Community Connect is a collaborative, one-stop resource expo to help reduce barriers and connect people to essential resources and services for a healthier, safer and more stable community. This free event raises awareness of hunger, homelessness and poverty in our region. By bringing more than 70 service providers to one place, this event aims to provide ease of access to a broad variety of services and knowledgeable service providers to improve lives in our community.
