And on top of all that, since 2014 Stephen has worked part-time as head of soils at Innovation For Agriculture, part of the RASE, where he has helped re-write the BASIS soil and water qualification and developed a series of soil video tutorials. The judges were hugely impressed by the journey that Stephen has made since completing his Nuffield research, by the influence he has had, both locally and internationally, on farmers and policymakers and by the passion he has brought to everything he has turned his hand to over the past ten years. He is a very worthy winner of the 2020 Bullock Award.
