Andy Horrell and Nadège Robin have been helping farmers with their animal nutritional requirements for 16 years and pride themselves on being efficient, prompt and honest. The pair originally joined Andy’s father in his Nutritional Services Ltd business and took over when he wanted to retire. They service from north of the harbour bridge all the way to Kaitaia. “Our main business is molasses and has been for the last 20 years,” says Andy. They also supply palm kernel and wheat DDGs along with the pumps and tanks required for the molasses. “Molasses is a supplement that has been around for many years, long before palm kernel and has still remained popular,” says Andy. “Molasses is a thick, black liquid and is a by product of the sugar refining industry. It is high energy and means other supplements are able to be absorbed better. It is highly palatable and is loved by all animals. “It stimulates appetite, promotes animal health and maximises days in milking.” Andy and Nadège run all aspects of the business from taking the orders to delivering them. “We enjoy dealing with our customers and everyday is different.”
