NRRTS CANADA UPDATE Written by: JASON KELLN, ATP, CRTS ®

When this article was written, NRRTS Canada had more than 260 Registrants. Canadian NRRTS Registration officially launched in November 2020. Since that time, we have had a phenomenal response from fellow Canadians. Suppliers, manufacturers and the best people in the industry are among the ones who support us in this endeavor. Everyone has seen the benefits. The world-class education helps Registrants become the best possible Complex Rehab Technology suppliers around. Setting the bar high is not easy. We are telling the world, clients, health science professionals, medical team members and funders we are the ones you want in your corner to find the correct solution for people who need Complex Rehab. The Canadian committee has a similar vision to the NRRTS pioneers who started NRRTS almost 30 years ago. The amazing work that has gone into this accomplishment has helped NRRTS Registrants in Canada to grow and take hold.

The funding in Canada and the United States is quite different. However, the end goal for the client is the same. Doing the best for the client with the equipment available. If a Registered Rehab Technology Supplier® sees a client in La Grange, Georgia, or Timmins, Ontario, the client needs the best we can deliver.

THIS WILL HELP TO MAKE NRRTS CANADA BIGGER AND BETTER. Although we do our work in different geographic jurisdictions and different funding, we still all work to provide CRT. Over the next few months, we will inform more medical professionals, funders and governments about NRRTS and its value. This will help to make NRRTS Canada bigger and better. The initial registration sent a loud message to professionals that we are professionals in the service area. As we enter our second year, it is important to prepare for renewal. Take advantage of the free NRRTS live webinars, NRRTS on-demand webinars and CEU article reviews. Each NRRTS Registrant will need 1.0 CEU (10 hours) to renew. For additional information, please visit https://nrrts.org/registrant-renewal/ or contact Amy Odom at aodom@nrrts.org.
