Arizona Quarterly publishes scholarly essays on American literature, broadly defined. Essays are grounded in examination of texts, situated with respect to current academic conversations touching on the texts and issues discussed, and inflected by knowledge of wider critical and theoretical discourse. Arizona Quarterly takes a particular interest in the work of colleagues based in countries other than the U.S., and in U.S. literary and cultural texts considered from a global perspective. Published quarterly in March, June, October, and December. Volume 73 (2017). Average length per issue: 176 pages. Print ISSN: 0004-1610 / E-ISSN: 1558-9595. Annual Subscriptions Print
