TCC Big Ideas Youth Challenge

Keynote speaker Blake Pelling from SafetyCulture The future of youth entrepreneurship is looking bright after several hundred talented high school students from across North Queensland came together to develop their entrepreneurial thinking and pitch their innovative ideas to improve our region at the Townsville City Council Big Ideas Youth Challenge held in a hangar at Townsville Airport and hosted by Smart Precinct NQ. Students competed for a share of $10,000 in prizes and bursaries, with St Margaret Mary's College claiming the top prize.

The JCU Townsville Fire held a breakfast event for corporate sponsors to announce the Townsville Entertainment Centre will become the "Fire Pit" thanks to a partnership with Townsville City Council and The Ville-Resort Casino. The move will not only enable the growth of the Fire, but will enhance the game day experience and activate the CBD.
