THEIR STORY “Lucien and I met at the Fresh Market where he managed,” shares Carly. “I was instantly attracted to him, and knew he’d either be a huge lesson or he’d be my person.” Carly found herself making excuses to shop there just so she could see Lucien. “Eventually I brought my mom in to check him out, and he ended up giving us a tour of the store,” says Carly. “At the end of the tour I knew this was my moment to give him my number. In true male fashion, his response was ‘But I see you all the time? I don’t need a card.’ After basically shoving my number down his throat, he texted a week later.” Carly knew Lucien was going to propose when he took her to their favorite spot, Bonnabel Boat Launch. “I felt like he was taking too long to pop the question, and after blacking out from anticipation, I apparently shook him by the shoulders, asking ‘Do you have something for me?? DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING FOR MEEE??” says Carly. “He did…thankfully.”
