DistrictMail & Helderberg Gazette has been the heartbeat of the Helderberg for nine decades. DistrictMail was established as a newspaper in 1928, with the goal of keeping the communities it serves informed. Helderberg Gazette was founded in 1998, as a free title distributed to the same communities. The two titles were amalgamated in May 2022, now running as a free title with a 36 000 print order, distributed every Wednesday. Over the years, the newspaper has become the most trusted local news source in the region. Our mission is simple: to bring the community of the Helderberg accurate news of what is happening on their doorsteps; be the first point-of-call for readers to find hyper-local content; and deliver impactful stories to make a difference in the community.
