Musings from the Editor May has arrived! Our west coast weather has been so amazing that I can’t even say April showers bring May flowers as we have had flowers since the beginning of February! Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy them whenever they arrive and take full advantage of stopping to smell the flowers. The scents of spring are so amazingly rich, that after one rain shower, the Alder tree scent was especially strong and I stopped for a full 5 minutes and just breathed deeply. I can’t describe the scent, but it is a delicious, heady scent with delicate undertones. I know that spring is finally arriving in other areas of the world, so take time to stop and enjoy the flowers as they show off their spectacular splendor! The Farmers Market starts this month! Be still my beating heart! I am really looking forward to the fresh variety the market offers, plus nothing says yum like a fresh picked anything! Price also becomes a factor as I have noticed that prices in the local supermarkets and produce stores rise drastically as our Canadian dollar dips lower against the currencies that we import food from. I urge everyone to head out to your local Farmer’s Market, not only will you benefit from being able to stretch your grocery dollars you will also be supporting someone local. Our local market has more than fruits and veggies, there are artisan breads, baked treats, farm to table chicken, pork, beef and fresh from the sea seafood! A variable smorgasbord of delights, not only for our nourishment, but also beautiful handcrafted articles which make delightful gifts. This month whatever makes your heart sing, step into it heart first. Don’t wait for it to come to you, get out there and enjoy the many blessings and treasures May holds. The flora and fauna really come to life this month, the days continue to get longer, and the temperatures continue to rise. What adventures will you find this month? Discover your joy, take time just for you, and share a laugh or two with good friends. Namaste

An interesting thought came to me in January, “When we find those who support us totally, no matter how crazy and intense we seem, we become whole. We are allowed to explore our uniqueness in a safe environment and grow to our full potential.”

need to allow ourselves to be open and vulnerable to ourselves, so that we can be open to others. Be gentle with this openness, no need to beat yourself up over what you see as an imperfection. Once you can look at yourself honestly, look at how you react to the masks others wear. Are you condescending? Do you accept them warts and all? Or do you think they should fit more with your ideals?

How then do we find our tribe, those who will allow us to be ourselves, to reach our full potential? Part of our life journey is our search for our own individual identity, our own truth, our unique persona. There is a strong desire, or need, to establish ourselves and take our rightful place in the world. There is also an equally strong desire for acceptance.

Our identity is ours, and we can only discover our true selves on our own. We cannot have others define us, nor can we define them. We take in a lot of information over the course of our life and it is up to us to discern if it resonates with us or not. And just when we think we know who we are, something shifts, we receive a different piece of information and it takes us down a different path of discovery, which eventually mixes and mingles with the substance already there and a new facet of ourselves is born.

Over the course of our life we become conditioned to seek out acceptance. It begins with our parents, which extends to our siblings and relatives, then we start school and we seek acceptance from our teachers and peers, we move onto lovers, employers and co-workers, and, well you get the picture. Early on we learn the pain of disapproval, and learn just as quickly what is required to avoid that experience. It is a countermeasure, equivocating if we think we are going to be in trouble or experience the pain of rejection. It becomes an unconscious habit that governs our behavior. While it can provide a measure of self -confidence and happiness, are we truly being authentic to our unique selves? Or, is who we are dictated by others?

Having a supportive network means that you might not all have the same ideals, but something brings you together. One common denominator, the commonality, is the glue that brings you together. You bounce ideas off of each other and grow as you expand your understanding. These close positive relationships are beneficial to our health - the upside– you help their health as well. Research is proving the powerful influence close bonds with family and friends have on our emotional and physical health. The more positive your tribe, the better your health tends to be. Yes, our tribe will include members that challenge us, and we will in turn challenge them. It is healthy to have people question our intentions, beliefs, goals and ideals. It brings awareness to us and helps us to learn moment by moment who we are.

Our desire to be accepted outweighs our self-confidence that we are perfect just the way we are. We create an idealized self-image to cover up our imperfections and foibles, thus creating a tyranny of impossible standards to uphold. We might also have different images we present to different people in our life. While it might strike fear into our very hearts, being our authentic self can bring us the rewards of serenity and self-respect.

Do not be afraid to be yourself, your true self, take the mask off. Are you able to fully be yourself? By being yourself, do certain people avoid you? Or do they embrace you, wanting to discover who you really are? Understand once you take off your mask you will be vulnerable to the possibility of peer or family rejection, yet also understand that for YOU, you are perfect as you are. Are you confident enough to be who you are? I think so, and really when it boils right down to it – everyone has an opinion of how everyone else should think and act, that includes the person looking back at you in the mirror. It is time that we, as individuals, stopped seeking or withholding that acceptance.

We really have a pickle… it is not easy to be human after all, we want individuality and we also want a tribe. However, all too often we are thwarted by the very members of our tribe, the ones we are striving so hard to impress with our “idealized self-image.” Open dialogue with our tribe is valuable to our growth, however it must be supportive and not a matter of them trying to make us fit into their ideal self-image. After my great thought, I really processed it and the people I feel closest to in my tribe are the ones in which all aspects of myself can shine, good, bad, ugly and indifferent. I am welcomed with open arms and not asked to change, I am valued to just be me. In return, I hope they can say the same about me.

Once we can be ourselves, our tribe connects with us. Our true tribe, not the fake ones we have been trying to fit into. For those who do not accept our wholeness will move on naturally. This is what life is about, if each of us could accept our wholeness, it would allow us to accept others wholeness, and that, my friends, could lead to one global tribe filled with exponential uniqueness being celebrated daily.

Why then, do we not just strip off the mask and present our true self to the world? Makeup off and warts showing! I am beginning to think the world would shine just a little brighter if we did. It might be hard, but what if we tried? How do we start? I am glad you asked! Begin with accepting your personality as it is now. Ask yourself – Do I wear different masks to fit in with different people? Next, assess the thoughts, actions or ideas you hide from others. You will need to be totally honest with yourself, the most important relationship you should have is with yourself. And while that might seem like a “duh” comment, we do hide from ourselves as well. The relationship we have with our self, can be the most difficult to cultivate. We

How many conversations do you have every day that lack depth and substance?

How much time do you make for real talk? Do you spend more time with your phone than your partner? This article attempts to answer those questions.

Seek to understand and go deeper into your conversations. Really listen to what the other person is saying. Listen with every part of your being. Quiet your mind so you can truly listen for meaning and common understanding. Be present.

Even when we are in conversation, we breeze past each other altogether. Unfortunately too many relationships never get beyond the superficial stage. Superficial chatter is a plague as it keeps us from creating real meaning in our lives. It keeps us from talking about stuff that truly matters.

Social media also affects real talk. I remember not too long ago walking around the pier at Granville Island in Vancouver, BC and I saw a couple out on a ‘hot’ date sitting outside on a patio in front of a fancy restaurant. There was an expensive bottle of red wine out on the table and their wine glasses were full. They had no food at the table so presumably they were waiting for their meal. What I saw stopped me in my tracks. Both had their heads down texting on their blackberries and not engaged in an intimate conversation with one another. I thought to myself that they must be texting their friends telling them that they are on this date. What they should have been doing is connecting and actually spending valuable time on the date. If a guy ever did that to me, I would throw their blackberry into their wine glass and leave. It’s just rude!

We are craving more depth. We are craving real. We want people to care. We want to share our inner most thoughts and to be understood but is anyone really listening? What stops us from taking the time to have meaningful conversations and really connecting with one another? Don’t get me wrong. Superficial conversations are a part of daily interactions. It’s how we start to open up to one another. At social events, we use superficial conversations as a means to network with others. However, I believe that we over use small talk in our daily interactions at work and at home. What keeps us from going deeper is our fear of connecting with our own emotions. It is somehow perceived as a weakness. The problem with that is it keeps us from experiencing happiness in our daily lives. Studies have shown that deep meaningful conversations make us happy.

Sadly in today’s society you see this more and more. It’s like we love our electronics more than the people in our lives. It’s very disconcerting how anti-social we are becoming. Where’s that face to face time? All our thoughts and ideas are posted on social media, yet we can’t talk to people and we don’t make time for it either. Social media seems to be taking the ‘social’ aspects out of our daily lives and our children are growing up losing this skill. Instead of posting about how angry you are at your boyfriend or subtweeting about your boss, try talking to someone about it.

Making time for real talk takes a focused effort. Unfortunately, we are either so task focused on whatever it is we want to accomplish for the day or we are off in some other world day dreaming because current reality is boring. Outwardly we may seem to be listening to the other person but in fact we’re totally self-absorbed in our own matters. People today are busier than ever… commuting, working on projects, planning meals, going to school. “Conversation time” is diminishing. Is there no one listening out there anymore or are we all texting or looking at a TV. screen or a monitor?

Set aside time specifically striking up a meaningful conversation with someone. Put away your electronics. Make time for real talk. Explore the world around you. Don’t be afraid to connect with your emotions and make it real. Speech conveys the deepest soulthoughts. Rich conversations connect our hearts and minds as one.

All people really crave for is to be seen, heard and understood and that requires that the listener be fully present in the conversation. It’s through conversations that we connect with one another. Its how we learn about others and how we find our way out of selfabsorption. The Torah says that God created man as a ‘speaking creature’ (see Targum Onkelos---Genesis 2.7).

Love, Light & Blessings,

Lisa

Where do you tend to have the most superficial conversations? Focus there. Ask more questions. Everyone has a history. Every individual has a unique story. Each person you come across probably possesses the memory of an experience that you would find intriguing. Deep conversations are more mentally stimulating and fulfilling….so get curious.

What is a soulmate? Is it that perfect partner, who connects with us at every level, understanding us as no one else can? Is it the charming prince or princess who sweeps us off our feet, carrying us off into a blissful future? Is it the one and only, in all of eternity, who is meant just for us? Soulmates are often characterized in this way, and in the earliest stages of a relationship when both are searching for the ideal, such qualities are often projected onto the object of our fantasy. There is trouble in paradise when the fantasy fades, and we discover that our soul mate also has an ego, which invariably triggers things for our ego.

When we look at a partner through the eyes of love, seeing the beauty and perfection in his or her soul and opening our hearts to receive and support his or her essence, we are then mating at the level of soul. That moment holds the bliss and perfection we have been seeking. That moment might be when she’s just coming in from the garden after planting her flowers, with leaves in her hair and dirt smudged across her nose. It might be while you’re watching him change a diaper, or when you’re both tucking in the kids, or waving goodbye to the grandchildren. Often it’s when you forget all that’s imperfect, and all that needs to be done, and take some time out for intimacy. Holding each other so close that you can feel your hearts beating, and melting into the love, is a moment of bliss. Maybe later you will disagree about something, or even get angry with one another. Soulmates do that too. But if you hold the love, and always come back to that place of open-heartedness, if you can see past your partner’s ego with its human limitations and truly see his or her soul; if you honor the essence of that soul, then you are a soulmate. A relationship between soulmates may not be about finding one after all, but rather, about being one.

Must we then discard the idea of soulmates, giving up the search for bliss and perfection? Not at all. The truth is that whenever we truly open our hearts in love, we connect with the souls of others. When two people have both opened their hearts, revealing to one another the depths of who they are, a soul bonding occurs. This can happen between friends as well as lovers. It can happen between parents and children. Such bonds are eternal bonds, but may not last a lifetime. This sounds like a contradiction, but what this means is that there is a connection between the two souls that exists beyond this reality. They touch for a while during this lifetime, and then may seem to move in different directions. It is the personalities that go off on their own paths, because they have other learnings. There are many souls with whom we must connect and learn during this lifetime. Just because a relationship does not last for our entire lifetime, does not mean it is not with a soul mate.

Those to whom we are powerfully drawn are souls with whom we have something important to experience. We may be overwhelmed by the energy we feel, fall deeply in love, dream of happily ever after and then suffer when the love dies before we do. Worse yet, the love we feel may draw us into a situation which turns out to be harmful on some level. Generally the lessons learned in these situations are extremely important, and would never have occurred had we not been powerfully drawn to that individual in the first place. Those are the learnings which prepare us for deeper levels of loving. Experiencing what we do not want enhances our appreciation of those things we want in relationship. Experiencing a loving soulmate has as much to do with being a loving soulmate as anything else.

Ok… collapsible, portable soapbox assembled. Here I go:

If you need… ASK. Somehow, somewhere it will ALWAYS be given.

The Ideas Fairy and I had a chat today (she showed up in the form of my lovely Edie on the telling bone…) and as we chatted I realised I've come through yet another blinding shift in consciousness with more determination than Noah when he built the Ark!

I have managed to manifest some amazing stuff in my life. Nothing to write home about in the big scheme of things, but to me, priceless. I currently have TWO cars… and am willing to give one away as I don't need two. So if you need one, ask me. It's here.

After seeing Russell Brand at the cinema, we're both fired up. I initially wanted to join his band of Merry Men and go see him and talk to him and all that klonk but then realised I AM RUSSELL BRAND! If there is no separation, then we are ALL parts of one another. I know this is no secret… just saying for the purpose of the story!

Now, I'm thinking that if it was so easy (not initially, may I add) to manifest thus far all the things I've manifested, then the next thing for me is a HOUSE. The Universe has my perfect home because I AM BECOMING my own perfect home, right inside of me. A home is simply an extension of something you believe can be taken from you, as with all other stuff you and I need. It cannot be taken from you until and unless you no longer need it!

Instead of joining bands of leaders, and following their doctrines and beliefs, become your own leader and follow your own lead. This thought occurred to me as I looked around my comfortably untidy home, with the thought that 'I need to tidy this up' gnawing away at my gut. Then, the lightning hit my two brain cells… FOR WHOM? and then, WHY BOTHER? Life is way too short to have a clinically tidy house. And I live in it, and it's mine (as the great Tim Minchin sings in one of his heartbreakingly wonderful songs)… then I thought about the state of my mind and brain workings. They are pretty similar to my house! Everything about me is mine and I have to live in it and with it. End of! Anyone else that comes into that space, which by the way is FULL TO BRIMMING with LOVE and ACCEPTANCE, is welcome. But they don't get to judge whether or not I should move this pile of ironing, or wash those windows. My cobwebs are pretty and move majestically in the breeze. My bed may be left unmade for a couple of hours (so, shoot me!) but it's my bed and I sleep well in it. It's my friend.

I have so much more to offer on this subject. But for now, that's my offering for the morning. Not bad for someone who can't get out of bed before 10am… but hey! When I do get up, I am productive and what is more, I AM HAPPY! Happy days my beautiful friends. I love me today, so I love you more, too… Jay Atkinson, MP for Love xxx

I thought about money and how each of us can have what we need at local level (i.e. personally) if we want it. It doesn't have to be a million quid. It doesn't have to be in the form of a Maserati or a Hollywood Hills Home. It simply has to be the thing that is giving me sustenance RIGHT NOW! But, here's the thing… we need to ask. We need to dare ourselves to put our vulnerability on the line. I am alive with the potency of change and today, I expand into more sunshine than I've felt previously… it's a great feeling to know that FEAR really is False Evidence Appearing Real.

All we need to do is find the honest place in our hearts and speak from there. That is where your own personal collapsible, portable soapbox (speaking platform) is housed. So use it.

Am I there yet? Is one of the questions I seem to constantly ask myself. When I am learning something new or conversing with friends about an idea or new concept or belief, I reach a point in my journey where I ask "am I there" have I mastered that idea or learnt all that I need from it.

Then I learned to go into a period of ACCESSMENT. I internally and often externally sort through all that I have learnt and often that includes books and documents I may have gathered in my learning phase and I start to SORT out the things physically and the ideas internally that I wish to keep and what I want to let go of. Over the years I have learnt that if I do not CONSCIOUSLY assess then sort and let go of things and ideas that are either no longer relevant or not ever needed then I become cluttered and blocked and prevent new thoughts and ideas from taking hold; it’s almost like my mind has a bookcase in it that is too full and I cannot find what I am looking for because there are too many books blocking me from seeing the ones piled up behind them.

The great thing about my sorting phase is that I have such CLARITY after and I find that I then see once again the bigger picture of life. I can find comfort in the beliefs and the ideas that I place as stepping stones in my quest for continual knowledge about spirit, the universe and my role in this incarnation.

I know that every day I live I am on a journey and that having access to learning and becoming a master of what I am learning is part of my WHY and that Maybe the answer to 'am I there yet" will only be answered when I have stepped beyond the veil.

If you are feeling tired and heavy headed maybe you need to 'unclutter' and 'lighten' your internal bookshelves to make room for the joy of inspiration to take hold once again.

Saturday has officially become my family's sky train day. My children and I hop on the nearest sky train and head out to explore the city that wraps around us. I love the sky train to be perfectly honest. I love the way it smells, the sounds that it makes as it tours along the tracks and the various people that ride it throughout the day. I like to see all the uniquely dressed people scurry in and out of the doors like busy rats in a cage. The way that people communicate with each other fascinates me, I sit back and watch the enchantment in this seemingly mundane routine. Each one of the people that I happen to cross paths with on my weekend adventures remind me that everyone holds a burning light within them, whether that be the kind woman that smiles and gives you directions, or the elderly woman that yells at everyone and everything that crosses her path.

Riding the sky train is similar to the ups and downs of life. Sometimes you get a dreadful seat, the person next to you is drunk and the ride is bumpy. On other occasions you get the perfect seat where you can see the most spectacular sunset and the warmest smile wash over the mans face across the aisle. Regardless of the seat you are sitting in, you know that at the next stop the doors will open ushering in new opportunity. Your seat does not define you and you can choose to move or get off as many times as you please along the way. You simply can not predict what the next stop is going to bring and where you might feel the need to get off next. Sometimes, but only sometimes...... your intention is to go to Chinatown but you find yourself on a dock drinking root beer milkshakes and talking to the pigeon lady that spends her days handing out birdseed to the children passing by.

Hi again, so glad to share another healing with you.

event. By pulling energetically or by emotional release, we can remove that dark source and replace it with pure love, or divine crystal energy.

The healing described was done in 3 hours, and some follow up emails. One of our students of later years, 40’s, had tried to get pregnant, unfortunately, she had 3 miscarriages. When she came to see me she was starting another relationship, and was scared to try again, no wonder!

Once all that was cleared, I felt we had to do a past life regression, Delores Cannon style, and I/we found that she had, herself been aborted in a life of a mother who was too young to support or carry out the obligations of child rearing. Again, we went back before her aborted life cycle, and changed it to where she was born perfectly healthy into a loving family, I closed it out with her having a happy life.

Our first meeting was to try to understand the why, we went back to her early childhood where, “You do not have children unless you were married” was revealed. This stemmed from a strict catholic upbringing, and the issues associated with that are vast. We had to clear the aspects of a belief system that didn’t resonate with her now.

Now, we went back to her miscarriages, she was miscarrying because she herself was never given the right to life by her mother. By forgiving her mother for the abortion, we set up a mindset where she was able to be born, and not have the feeling of unworthiness, or rejection. She did not want to bring a soul here at this time as she was rejected herself from having a life. Obviously she was born, but only after her work was completed, remember, there is no time. Her fear was going full term with a baby that might be rejected by her through jealousy or the fear of motherhood.

The Ho’oponopono is a great forgiveness technique, as some of you know now, but back then it was new and untested by us. We went through forgiveness of her parents for forcing a belief that didn’t resonate with her. Next was her relationship issues, she wanted to leave her parental trap so eagerly, she fell for and married a controlling male. I, we have found that to enter a relationship with old tapes from the past is destructive. The control she craved was transferred from the church to a male figure, other than her father. The male figure was resonating below what she needed, but like a true scared believer in God’s word, she tried to make it work, only to be abused and scarred.

Our next step was to erase the past emotion of rejection, show her she was capable of bringing a soul here without fear of rejection, or judgement. We changed the outcome of her being aborted, more inner work was done, along with many tears, but forgiveness prevailed, 6 months later, she was pregnant! We were asked to bless this soul, and we did, through many e-mails. She carried the baby to term, and a healthy girl was lovingly brought into this world. Her mother was so relieved at the prospect of a grandchild, that she received a healing as well. She wanted to enjoy the gift of another soul that was finally welcomed to share in the love of this reconnected family.

When I sent her back to the time of first meeting her male lover, she was distraught at how she accepted his abusive ways. Working with her we implanted and reset the event as a new experience, to when she first meets him, she does not accept his flirtatious ways and bid him adieu. In this case, she actually went so far as to meet him in the future, and forgive him for what he, they had set up. In other words, she saw him as he really was, forgave him, and then let him go.

Our sharing/teaching here is that, timelines can be changed and affected. Outcomes in this reality are forever changing, and not everlasting in the healing aspect. We are not here to learn lessons, but to experience. Experience the change we need in order to grow, some grow to higher awareness, some to change past lives, but in my/our work, there is no disease or life circumstance that cannot be changed to enhance our existing life thread. Our client has had another child, and I feel her children are special, as they were created out of the love of change, understanding, and forgiveness. If I have learned one thing in this work, there used to be only one word, LOVE, all else was deemed ego or illusion. I/we have learned forgiveness is just as powerful as love, if not more, because the end result of forgiveness, is LOVE!

Thinking was the crux of the matter. I decided to do I.E.T., which is INTEGRATED ENERGY THERAPY. I learned I.E.T., from my greatest teacher, Rose Kulyk www.theperfectrose.com Using this method, you remove the associated negative energies from the event, or experience. What we do is make our hands two paddles of receiving energy.... when the energy is suppressed or blocked, we will then remove it by pulling. This is the same technique I/we use when working with cancer. Going further into her history, it was determined that a past life was affecting her now. While it is not always a factor, some past life issues do affect our now, because we decided after our last death, that we need to experience the issue further. Having said that, in my experience, we do not all go through this karmic debt, it’s not true for most of us at this time, it was very popular 50 years ago, but not now. Do not always surmise its karmic, a lesson needs to be learned, that’s bullshit in most cases, old style thinking, we are here to experience, or go through an old experience to relive it, to change it. It’s not karmic, because if you fail this time, you ARE NOT liable to repeat it. You are your own judge and jury after death, no one else.... so we removed the negative energy of that event, I work in event protocol, in other words, any emotional or physical event that happened in your life stream, is recorded by placing a dark energy in the chakra associated with that

Love and light to all.....

Each one of these eleven oils has properties that will assist you mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Put together like this they are a powerhouse!

third eye and another on your crown chakra before moving into meditation.

When you are working through issues with a loved one, White Angelica™ on your throat will help you to be aware of negative words before they pass your lips, giving you the opportunity to acknowledge the pain involved and find words that are more empowering.

I have used this oil extensively when working with clients, especially when I am doing electrical balancing as part of a raindrop treatment. Because it helps to repel negative energies, it releases any need for me to clear during the balancing. This frees me up to focus even more intently on the client. I have also used it prior to giving a reading to a client who is upset and emotionally charged.

Enjoy exploring this essential oil, and please – always remember to use only 3rd party certified therapeutic grade essential oils. For more information on Young Living Essential oils and blends, please contact me by email at lightvera1@gmail.com or go to the website: www.youngliving.org

Vera

You will appreciate this blend any time you are working with the public, especially with people going through a rough time. It can help you to focus on what is being said under the raw emotion that is being generated instead of getting caught up in that emotion. ‘But,’ you say, ‘I’m not working with people. I’m neither a healer nor a therapist. How is it going to help me, Joan Q. Public?’ Ahhhhh. Put one drop on your hands, rub them together and then rub your shoulders (at the joint with the arm). Then lightly brush both of your hands over your head, face, shoulders, chest and down your body – effectively applying a shield against negative energies. (Remember – emotions are Energy in motion). You can apply this every day before going out your door to work, school or play. We do not always notice people who are having a bad day, but they are there – on the bus, the street, in the park or on an escalator. Because we pick up so much of the energies that are around us without even knowing it, having a simple, effective tool like White Angelica™ can literally be a life saver!

For those of you who come home drained and stressed, diffusing it in your car on your commute (using a cotton ball on the air vent) or when you get home can help you move past the anxiety into a gentler place. Treat yourself to a bath using two or 3 drops in the water – you will find that sleep comes easier. I love to open the bottle and just take breathe the scent in as deep as I can. Two or three breaths is usually sufficient. White Angelica™ can help you step into a connection with your Higher Self, you guides, your angels. I was thinking about forgiveness today and what a difficult

emotional baggage, the hurt and anger that limits your life, and lets you move on.

subject it can be to talk about, consider, and take action on. What we think we have to forgive is usually something that is hard to let go of, people can do terrible things to each other and there are things that we think are unforgiveable, if we look at forgiveness as a pardon or absolution, as if what they did was not important or didn’t matter to us.

And there is a way to do forgiveness that prevents you from feeling that you’re letting someone ‘get away with’ bad behavior. Instead of saying ‘I forgive you’, say ‘I forgive us’. And there is an important reason for this. In my book 30 Days to Everyday Miracles, I talk about being responsible for your reality. You create everything in your life and you are responsible for its presence. Why would you create painful situations? That has to do with your life lessons, healing purpose, and karma. If you don’t take responsibility for what is there, you cannot also take action to change it because the power you used to create something is the same power you are going to use to create a different reality. By acknowledging your responsibility for everything in your life, you also acknowledge your power to change it. Otherwise, you are blaming someone else for your life and giving your power to them.

Because it does matter, a lot. The things we think we should or must forgive are those things whose memory stays with us for a long time. We remember the hurt that others do us and no matter how long ago it happened, the memory can evoke feelings that hurt as much today as they did when the situation happened. But that’s not looking at forgiveness the ‘right’ way because aside from the emotions that we harbor around these situations there is another, more powerful way to look at forgiveness and that is from an energetic standpoint. You see, forgiveness is, first and foremost, all about energy. Sure there are a lot of emotions around it but it allows us to disconnect from these emotions because it releases the energetic hold they have on us.

How do you forgive without feeling out of control? By saying that you forgive ‘us’ instead of ‘you’ when you do a forgiveness exercise. And by using ‘us’ instead of ‘you’, you remove the energetic connections that exist between you and that person and situation, keeping your power intact, taking responsibility, and not giving your power away.

Think about something someone did to you that really upset you — it was unkind or cruel, thoughtless, inconsiderate, deliberately hurtful, and it caused a lot of harm. How do you feel right now? That’s the emotional energy that this situation has and you’re probably feeling hurt, angry, embarrassed, and very emotional when you remember that person’s actions or that situation. For example, I remember the first time a boy broke my heart in a very public, humiliating way. I was 16 years old. I can’t remember his name or his face today, but I remember how hurt I felt and it happened over 40 years ago.

Here’s how it works: Imagine someone who has hurt you in some way, and it can be anyone in your life. You don’t have to tap into the emotions but you can if you feel it’s necessary. As you are seeing them in front of you, imagine a cord that goes from you to them, which holds the energy of the situation and all of the emotions around it. Now look at them in the eye and say ‘I forgive us’ with the intention to remove that connection, dissolve the connection cord, and release every aspect of the situation that exists between you.

These emotions carry a lot of strong energy and because they usually involve difficult situations that we remember for a long time, they have a powerful, long-term impact on our lives. How many times have you said you would ‘never’ let someone hurt you again, or you would ‘never’ let someone get close to you because of something that happened to you?

You may need to do this several times with someone until you really feel the release but eventually, you will be able to think about that person or situation without also feeling angry and upset. And you will also be able to stop the spillover of those emotions into the rest of your life.

What do you think is being impacted in your life by those beliefs and feelings? A lot more than you think.

This month we are looking at the final set, known as Tyr's Aett. Tiwaz is the great rune of victory and symbolizes kings and leaders of men. It is the rune of "might for right" and as such is valuable when you have been unfairly denied something or falsely accused. Tiwaz is indicative of the fighting spirit, fearlessness, and trial by combat. It is the primary masculine rune. We would use Tiwaz for victory and whenever completion is a factor. It would also be used for health, it encourages quick recovery and recuperation. In matters of love, Tiwaz is used to symbolize the ardent male.

Its uses would include, fertility, to release energy suddenly, to bring something to a successful conclusion, and to "fix" the outcome of the runescript so that the benefits indicated therein do not drain away. Dagaz is the rune of the New Day, a new beginning, "today is the first day of the rest of your life" and is particularly good for fresh starts in any endeavour. We would use it for financial increase, to change an attitude, either yours or someone else's, and especially for new beginnings. The last rune of this Aett is Othala and it is the rune of possessions and ancestral lands or characteristics. This rune encourages a down-toearth attitude towards life.

Berkano is the rune of the Great Mother and as such is the rune of fertility. It is also used to conceal, protect, and rule over all protective enclosures, such as homes and temples. It is very good to use in a runescript for the peace, protection, and harmony of the household. This rune represents the feminine and nurturing female.

In a runescript when paired with Fehu, it is good for monetary gains. Othala is also used for protection of possessions as well as when the health of the elderly is the issue.

Berkano would therefore be used for, fertility, protection, family matters, to bring ideas to fruition, and to represent a certain type of female in the runescript.

This concludes our journey into the magickal meaning of the 24 runes of the Elder Futhark. I hope it has been an informative one as well as a fun experience.

Ehwaz is a rune of abrupt changes and is good for starting bold new ventures. We use Ehwaz after the "subject" runes in your runescript to facilitate change. We would use this rune for swift change and also to ensure safe travel. Mannaz is the symbol of mankind as a whole and is often used when assistance from others is needed. It also symbolizes the rational mind. We use Mannaz to gain assistance of others and to increase our memory and mental powers. Laguz is the rune of intuition and imagination. It is also a feminine rune but, unlike the soft feminine Berkano, this rune symbolizes a strong and assertive female.

We have learned that the runes were originally named for the gods and goddesses of the Æsir, Asynir, and the Vanir and changed to hide their meaning from the RCC monks, to the names we know now. And finally, we learned of the magickal meanings of the runes. If this journey helped anybody in their search, I will have considered the past three or so years to be worth all the time and effort spent. I too have learned much, as the teacher sometimes becomes the student. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me through the magazine and I will endeavour to answer them to the best of my ability. Skül to all of my readers Phil

We use Laguz when we want to contact our intuitive side, when we want an increase in vitality and life force, especially for women, and when we need to gather in energies for use by our will. Ingwaz represents the male consort of the Earth Mother and is also a symbol of fertility. In a runescript it is often used in the final position to ensure a successful outcome. Always a positive rune.

The Full moon is the opposition of the Sun and Moon –shining light into every dark corner. The Lunar Eclipse is an indicator of the emotional response that will surface over the next 6 months. Your magnetism may be a little out of sync, make small adjustments as you go in order to get what you want/need. Take care not to overpromise – or commit to anything you are unsure of, only give what you know you really can. That being said – try not to be overly sarcastic or use harsh judgement on others. If your meditation practice feels like an uphill battle – or slow going, persevere – as you get closer to the new moon you should feel an energy shift and things will loosen up.

We seek not so much answers as direction. Show me where to go, what step to take that will lead me to that which I desire most of all. What do you desire above all else? Love? Connection to All That Is? Grounding? A sense of your position in the grand scheme of life…if there is such a scheme? The words here are guideposts along that path. Read them, follow them for as long as you are drawn…always, always, always…..follow your own heart. It is the best guide you will ever have, your truest companion. Namaste, my friend…you are love – always and all ways….

Week 1: May 1 to 7 – Citrine: Music is the key to this week. Old favorites that spring unbidden to your mind and your lips, melodies that you hear on the bus, the radio, a passing car. Pay attention not to the words – it is too easy to get caught up in trying to define a moment with words. What is it about each melody that tugged at your attention? The tingle of piano? The strum or pick of the guitar? The keening of the violin? Follow that trail – you will find gold at the end of it.

Week 2: May 8 to 14 – Hematite: What expectations do you have of others? When those expectations are silent, they are often not met, resulting in anger and recrimination. Put yourself in their shoes. As this week progresses you will have the opportunity to open your heart rather than closing it. Follow your heart. You know you want to…

Week 3: May 15 to 21 – Malachite: Find yourself a piece of this crystal to carry with you. Place it on your person so that you can rub it hold it in your hand, gaze into its green depths. Introspection can be a valuable resource -only make sure you don’t fall into the trap of self-flagellation. This crystal will help you with your journey this week, whether you are travelling into your Self or out in the world. Caution is needed in train stations and public transit – wash those hands as soon as you are able.

Week 4: May 22 to 28 – Banded Agate: Layers are peeling away as you continue this journey. For some of you this means finding that joy is accessible. Others are realizing that they have hidden their true nature under layers of delusion and falsehood. You can hide who you are from the rest of the world….you cannot hide it from your own Self. In the centre of the lotus blossom is the beauty that is you. Trust yourself to explore your true nature.

Tag end and Beginning: May 29 to 31– Clear quartz point: Doors – doors are everywhere, and the only thing you need to do is choose. Sample all the doors – find out for yourself that with experience comes clarity.

May 2015’s Full Moon falls on the 3rd. This full moon is known as the Full Flower Moon, it was called that because the spring flowers were blooming in abundance. It is also known as the Milk Moon, Mother’s Moon and Corn Planting Moon. This full moon is in the house of Scorpio while the sun is in Taurus. This is a rather interesting combination, a mixing of water and earth. Will mud be created?

Full Moon

May 3

Scorpio is a powerful, intense sign and when mixed with the energy of plodding, dug in Taurus I keep hearing the phrase “get ‘er done!” Anything is possible this month! As with all full moons this is a releasing time and there is no better sign to help us reveal the hidden issues deep in the recesses of our subconscious than Scorpio. We can use this energy to illuminate what has long ago expired and needs to be tossed. For example, think of a good cleaning of the refrigerator. Sometimes you save things thinking you will use them only to discover they really are past their prime and well past being a science experiment. NO sense in hanging onto them. Taurus will be supportive in helping us to get the job done. Taurus at its core is a variable pillar of strength and stability, not to mention the whole raging bull energy, to easily charge through anything that stands in its way. Once their mind is set… well if you know any Taurus in your circle… they can be very tenacious! I think the best way to handle this Full Moon is to set some time aside on the 3rd and connect with this Scorpio moon. Ask it to bring to light that which has expired in your life. Keep in mind that intensity is what Scorpio is about, it might display as passion, elation, sorrow, or desire – all emotions might be felt deeply. The energy will motivate you to get to the bottom of things, all illusions cleared. Do not allow this to instill fear, though, as Scorpio will release your own inner power to deal with whatever comes up. This truly is a great opportunity to clear out limitations set by you. Do not fall into brooding, and avoid manipulative tactics. When issues come to light, draw on the energy of Taurus and ask your Angels to help release them with a simple “time for you to go!” It does not matter what you are releasing, you can continue to release different burdens you have been packing around, up to the New Moon on May 18th. Whatever you are guided that needs to be gone, let it go. It does not have to be a long drawn out process whereby you take days, as the energy since December 2012 really supports the KISS method and we can release with just a thought. Quickly and painlessly. Have fun with this, don’t make it heavy. Think of it as cleaning out the fridge, you don’t second guess if you should keep it, you just toss them. Lesson learned, ensure you don’t over purchase, don’t push to the back where it can’t be seen (which is telling in and of itself) and use up what you have before it gets to the point of no return.

The New Moon arrives on May 18th in the zodiac sign of Taurus and we get the opportunity to continue working with this amazing energy. Given that Taurus is considered to have a slow plodding attribute, anything we manifest now will not necessarily come quickly, but rather build slow and steady. Think of it as building a solid foundation.

new Moon

May 18

There are a few things you can use the energy of Taurus for during your manifestations this month—stability, peace, artistic, harmony, affection, value and saving. I don’t know about you, but personally I am going to pick stability, harmony, value and saving to focus on. This new moon is perfect to manifest some prosperity. And given the slow energy, hopefully what is brought to fruition right now will take hold and be secure for a long time to come. If you wish to manifest prosperity with me, start by gathering a few items. Enjoy pulling together meaningful items, think about what symbolizes prosperity to you. The more personal meaning they have to you the better. We will need some coins, here is where if you find pennies or dimes all the time while walking—use that denomination—think of is as “pennies (or dimes) from heaven.” Now gather some crystals—citrine, aventurine, moss agate, jade and ruby work especially well—however let your crystals tell you which ones to choose. A small candle, choose a color that means prosperity to you, it does not have to be green, for you abundance might mean red or purple. I am going to use some oracle cards as well, pulled from different decks that speak to me of gathering prosperity. Once you have all your items, set up a small display. Think about your needs with regards to prosperity, if you are unsure, just ask for your needs to be met. When you are ready light the candle and spend some time confidently visualizing prosperity coming to you in unexpected ways. Think of the value that prosperity brings to you, and focus your intent on how harmonious this prosperity will make your life. Enjoy being in the Taurus energy with this moon, better yet, ask your Taurus friends over to lend their energy, and share a glass of wine, laughter and love! Prosperity comes in all forms of abundance, maybe you just want some peace and stability and that is ok too! New moon manifesting is all about discerning what you wish to bring into your life, what will you manifest this month?

I decided that it will better serve you to understand what the runes mean in a cast, rather than me just drawing one a month, so here is a cast I did just recently.

The final rune, the result rune, is Wunjo. Wunjo is the rune of joy and is an excellent rune in a cast. In the result position it shows a pleasant journey, especially when paired with Raidho and Ehwaz.

We have been wondering when would be a good time to visit the kids so I drew three stones. The first stone was Raidho. The second, Ehwaz reversed and the last was Wunjo.

I was pleasantly surprised by how positive this cast was in regards to my question and it reminded me that the runes become very in tune with the runemaster the more one works with them.

A three rune cast is good for a short term insight. The first rune is the problem at hand or what issue you are concerned with. The second shows what course you should take and the third tells you what is likely to come about if you follow the advise of the second rune.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about rune casting, feel free to message me, either through the magazine or on my Facebook page. I look forward to hearing from you. Until then,

In this cast Raidho is the symbol of travel or movement, usually for pleasure. As it is upright it shows a pleasant journey, usually without mishaps and often with good travelling companions. Ok, so far so good.

The second stone is Ehwaz but it is reversed, so what does that tell us? Ehwaz is an interesting symbol as it may not be negative as long as the other runes in the cast are positive, which in this instance, they are. Ehwaz is the rune of physical movement, physical shifts, or new dwellings. When paired with Raidho, it can mean a journey by land and usually for pleasure. In reverse, when paired with Raidho, it shows the journey is only temporary but still one of pleasure.

You have much wisdom to share This month the power animal is the snowy white owl. As I sit in the quiet of my space, snowy white owl flies silently in, and lands nearby. With a screech in greeting, this is his message to us: “Now is the time to quietly watch, listen and observe. Notice any signs that come to you as they may very well be answers to your questions. Spend time in silent meditation and see what might be revealed to you when you do. Like us, you are wise and have much wisdom to share with others. Take that wisdom and share it with all you meet, you never know who you might inspire. Now is the time to tap into your intuition, for in the darkness of the “Void of Creation” you will know what is needed and be able to manifest it quickly. Within your quiet observation of your environment and those around you, you will come to know the truth of the matter and if any deception is happening. Be alert and aware like us. Do not fear the dark, for it can teach you much if you allow it to” Yours in wisdom The Snowy White Owl Contact Michelle bloghttp://whitestareagle.wordpress.com or email me at empathlove2003@yahoo.ca. 51

Message from the Angels April 2015

Hello dearests! Yo Homeys!

seems dark and lonely. Our sight is far seeing, we are not attached to time or space, we see without barriers, and can offer you guidance from our view. You might ask us then “why have you not brought me what I want?” (we do hear you) Our answer is simple, “do you need it?” a question that repeatedly we hear all sorts of responses to, most colored with your more expressive words, yet none answer this simple question.

We come to you this month in excitement! The energy has shifted so much in the past few months that it is easier for us and your angels to connect with you. Can you feel our presence? You never walk alone, we are always beside you. The energy shift also makes it easier for us to be present in your dreams. What used to take years to achieve can happen in mere months, weeks, or days if you believe.

Anything that you see as a challenge, is not a challenge, but the only way we can help support you to achieve what you desire. It is the closing of one door so that you may discover the door that is opening and will lead you closer to what you desire. How often have you received what you wanted, only to be disappointed? Can you have faith that what you really need, deep down, that you are expressing as a want because you think it will fulfill your void, is being provided to you if you keep opening the doors being offered? Keep asking us for guidance, we reply each and every time. Do not lose hope, keep positive, cheerful, and confident. Respond loudly when we ask “what are your needs?” for we do ask and all too often you respond with a flippant reply. Be serious, we are.

This earthly month for you is all about balance. You are to bring your life into balance. Each of you knows where your energy is unbalanced and even know what needs to be done to in order to have balance restored. Gently pull yourself back to balance, if you need assistance, ask your angels. They are waiting for you to ask and they will work their divine magic to assist. Balance is the key to having the life you want. The first step to living it, and not dreaming about it, is to sort out your needs from your wants. We hear many prayers whizzing past us, expressing a desire or a desire not being met. We give to you this message… have faith, dear ones… faith that when you need it, it will be there. Not a moment sooner or later, but when you need it. We understand this might be hard when you are down to your last dollar and the rent is due, yet faith shows itself in different ways. If the door that you are trying to walk through is closing, it means a different door is opening for you. A better door that will help you to achieve your dream life. Ask us to help you find the door, when the hallway

Balance is the key to the life you dream about, seek to find that this earthly month… we are with you, we will not allow you to wobble. Above all, keep a positive, upbeat attitude. Soon my dears, soon. Our love and blessings, the power of three Mcobb 52
