Whether Notre Dame’s Concert Choir performs in the magni-ficent marble and stained-glass structure which is Lincoln’s cathedral or in the tiny, unpretentious chapel of the Omaha Poor Clares, one thing is certain to all who hear them: their song bursts forth from hearts which are terribly glad to be alive and to be singing.

Moreover, this singing group is most versatile. They run the gamut from Faure’s delicate IN PARADISUM to Lerner and Loewe’s exhilarating I COULD HAVE DANCED ALL NIGHT. With equal aplomb these talented young voices can grapple with the complexities of Poulenc’s LITANIE DE LA VIERGE NOIRE or blend with classical precision in the rendering of Bach’s JESU, JOY OF MY ENDEAVOR.

Moving from classical music to the modern idiom, the Concert Choir once more thrilled its audiences with their ‘Evening on Broadway,’ which has as its special theme, ‘My Name Is Barbra’ (Streisand, that is!).
