Class of 1960
Jim Bagdon ’75 and Victor L. Kim ’60
From Victor L. Kim: Recently I was invited to visit the American Heritage Museum in Hudson, Mass. A beautiful museum filled with all types of armor that some of us might have had to use to go to war during the time of the Cold War. Now they are museum pieces. I was greeted by a volunteer at the museum by the name of Jim Bagdon ’75, a Norwich graduate, but I was not aware of that until the end of our conversation. Jim: “I was in the 3rd Armored Division, Germany.” Me: “I was too.” Jim: “I was at the Rock in Kirchgoens.” Me: “I was too.” Jim: “I was with the 2nd Battalion, 32nd Armor.” Me: “I was with the 2nd Battalion, 33rd Armor, the Tiger Battalion.”
Jim: “I was there from 1975 until 1978.” Me: “I was there from 1974 until 1975 and then was moved to Division HQ in Frankfurt.” Jim: “Where did you receive your commission?” Me: “Norwich University with the class of 1960.” Jim: “OMG, me too at
Norwich University with the class of 1975.” We were now joined at the hip in front of the tank for our picture. Jim on the right and me on the left. Norwich Forever. See Photo 1.
