Christian Worldview
“The mission of Northwest Christian School is to provide a Bible-based program education that enables students to develop a Christian worldview.” The Northwest Christian mission statement is brief but ripe with meaning—quite literally it is the North Star used to navigate our faculty, families, and students in the direction of Christ. To accomplish this mission, the school is commitment to making certain that every lesson, every extracurricular activity, student club, and concert is built upon Christian worldview. But, if realizing Christian worldview in the lives of our students is our destination, how can we be certain that we are navigating in the correct direction? How do we know if the strategies that we are employing are working or the best strategies to employ for such a momentous task? Further, how will we know when we have arrived? What does this direction look like when it is realized within the lives of our students? Over these next several digital pages, you will have the opportunity to review the same data that we review as work to answer these critically important questions…
Why do families pick Northwest Christian School?
When comparing every parent survey from 2011 to 2022, parental priority remains virtually unchanged. “Christian worldview” remains the strongest priority, with over 80% of NCS parents expressing it as their highest priority each year. In 2017, 81.86% of parents identified Christian worldview as their highest priority. Since that time, this prioritized emphasis on Christian worldview has varied very little. Also very important in terms of parental priority: “Teacher quality” and “Academics/Strength of Curriculum”. Within this critical factor, in considering parental satisfaction with Christian worldview, 60% of families describe themselves as “very satisfied” and 27% describe themselves as “somewhat satisfied”. 2.45% (6 respondents) describe themselves as “very dissatisfied”.

Based on personal, parental observations as well as the observations related by students, how would you describe the frequency of Biblical Integration within your student’s classroom?
“Biblical Integration” is the concept that God’s world in organically presented in some form in each lesson or lecture presented within the classroom.
We believe that Biblical Integration is the inevitable result of supporting fostering four qualities in the lives of faculty and staff: spiritual vibrancy, content competency, professional efficacy, and Biblical literacy.
