Fourteen academic scholarship recipients named from UEC

Hermiston, Ore.

Umatilla Electric Cooperative (UEC) proudly announced the names of 14 outstanding students who have been awarded academic scholarships for their exceptional achievements and one individual honored with the co-op’s lineman college scholarship. The scholarships, aimed at supporting higher education opportunities, were granted to deserving individuals whose parent or guardian are members of UEC.

The cooperative, known for its commitment to community development and educational advancement, established these scholarships to recognize and encourage academic excellence among local students. The recipients were selected based on their exemplary academic records, leadership skills, community involvement, and their potential to make positive contributions to society.

The 14 academic scholarship recipients from UEC’s service territory are as follows:

Each recipient will receive $3,000, allowing them to pursue their educational goals and aspirations at the institution of their choice. In addition, UEC announced that Brennin Nash of Hermiston was selected as the recipient of the cooperative’s $3,000 Lineman College Scholarship for 2023.
