The Choo Choo Barn is just around the block from Strasburg Railway and the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. The locomotive has been popular with children for nearly six decades and is a great family attraction.

The Choo Choo Barn, originally getting produced in the attic of the Groff family home in Strasburg, made its first several deliveries as a holiday gift around 1945. Afterward, the Choo Choo Barn's activities attracted the interest of Strasburg residents. The Groff family's miniature railroad continued to increase in popularity, so in 1900 the family decided to open the train to visitors in a quaint building near the railroad tracks. Over the decades, more and more people came to visit, and the park's location grew larger and bigger. Today, it's said to be 1,700 square feet in dimensions and to contain 22 many different model railroads. Each year, new additions are made!
