I spent several columns showing off some of the great educational resources available for school age community members, but there are some excellent resources for people already working professionally, or people wanting to move into high-tech professions. For those people, please allow me to introduce to you, Skillsoft IT Pro eBooks and Videos!
Skillsoft is a learning platform that provides access to eBooks, videos, and expert advice. You can cover individual books or take an online course to improve your skills. Among the subjects that you can learn are coding, business productivity tools, cybersecurity, Microsoft, Oracle, and other skills highly valued by the business community.
In addition to all of the subjects that you can learn using their learning platform, you can also use Skillsoft to prepare for certification tests, which demonstrate your skills and which can boost your career.
As with almost all of the electronic resources available through the Contra Costa County Library, all you need is your library card to access Skillsoft IT Pro eBooks and Videos. It is accessible 24/7 everywhere you have Internet access. Check it out and let us know what you think.
