We are almost at the halfway point of the current Government’s tenure. Economic conditions continue to present challenges and we are just at the start of the reforms and cutbacks which are likely to shape our sector for a generation. However, whilst not underestimating the size of the task facing public services, the housing sector is showing its resilience, creativity and innovation in rising to the challenge from government in finding new ways of doing things and pushing its agenda for housing to be at the centre of plans around economic growth and neighborhood investment type services. In the North, we believe we have a different set of challenges, but are getting on with the task of changing the way we do business, deliver new homes and renew communities. This year’s Northern Housing Summit will, once again, provide delegates with insight, clarity and solutions for our sector with an agenda of national and international speakers from both inside and outside the sector.
