NORSE GROUP PARTNERS WITH HMP WAYLAND

When Lindsay, a customer based in Havant, contacted the Corporate Communications team asking if we had any branded toy bin lorries for her young son, she had no idea that two teams across Norse would work together to make it a special birthday surprise.

Charene Botha organised a bin lorry toy and coordinated with the on-duty crew to surprise our young customer with his card and gift on their next round. Little Ryder loved his present and even got a sneak peek in the dust cart.

Huge thanks to Craig Pearce, Charene Botha, Kieran Hammond, Paul Gissing and the crew, Paul, Nigel, and Ralph, for going above and beyond for Ryder!

We are currently piloting a project working with HMP Wayland, a Category C men’s prison, to see how we can recruit ex-offenders and help to improve their career prospects once they leave. With a range of opportunities within our Highways, Waste and Grounds Maintenance departments, we hope to become one of several organisations across the UK to help ex-offenders back into work. HAVE YOU GOT A SKYGUARD LONE WORKER DEVICE?

Please note that as of Friday, 31 March 2023, all Skyguard lone worker devices will cease functioning and will no longer be supported or monitored by Peoplesafe.

We ask that all Skyguard devices are returned to the SHEQ team as, due to contractual obligations, each device not returned carries a charge of £100 to Peoplesafe. If you still have a lone worker device, please return it to the SHEQ Team, 280 Fifers Lane, Norwich, NR6 6EQ. You only need to return the black pebble device itself; we do not need the box, chargers, cables, etc.

If you have identified a requirement for lone worker devices, these can be supplied, administered, and monitored by Norse Security from the ARC situated at Fifers Lane.

Please direct all enquiries to Nathan.ashdown@norsegroup.co.uk.
