Recently, a team of NorseCare wellbeing professionals organised a visit from Cuddly Cavies, a company that provides pet therapy with guinea pigs, and a visit from Alpacas, to promote a whole new approach to wellbeing.

Pet therapy boosts mood and energy levels and reduces signs of depression and blood pressure. The team wanted to focus on all areas of wellbeing, including social, emotional, and sensory.

During the visit, attendees had the opportunity to interact with the animals. They were encouraged to pet them in a safe and supervised environment. The experience was enjoyed by all, with attendees reporting feeling happy and relaxed after the visits.

The assembly allowed the children to learn more about the importance of inclusivity and kindness towards those facing additional life challenges. The talk at the local primary school reminded us that we all have a role to play in creating a more accepting and compassionate society. In a world where differences can sometimes be a source of conflict, it is refreshing to see events like this that celebrate diversity and unite people. The assembly at the local primary school inspires other communities to follow. It is a beautiful reminder that we can all make a positive difference in the world.
