THE START OF OUR TRANSFORMATION JOURNEY. PROJECT ONE IS A NEW AND EXCITING PROGRAMME THAT WE’VE STARTED AT NORSE GROUP TO MAKE THE WAY WE WORK SIMPLER, MORE EFFICIENT, AND BETTER CONNECTED. IT’S ALL ABOUT WORKING SMARTER, GROWING TOGETHER, AND DEVELOPING OUR SERVICES.

We’re investing in our business so that we can continue to grow while providing an excellent service for all our customers, as well as making it more straightforward for our employees to do their jobs and connect with each other.

Project One is the innovative group-wide change and transformation programme that will introduce extensive changes to our HR, Payroll, and Finance services, so that they are delivered across the group in the same way, with consistent processes and using the same systems. These changes will allow us to work more collaboratively and support our business growth.

Most importantly the changes will improve the ways services are delivered by HR and Finance as services become streamlined to create a common way of working across all our teams.

Here’s a selection of some of the things are working on as part of Project One.

OUR NEW ENGAGE APP – KEEPING PEOPLE CONNECTED

One of the first things we’re introducing on this journey is our new Engage app which will be launched this summer and be available to everyone who works at Norse. You’ll be able to download the app onto your smart phone or tablet and find out what’s happening in your part of the business. Another great feature is being able to post and share news, photos and ideas with your local team. It will be a real gamechanger helping all of us to connect and stay in touch.

SCREENING – IMPROVING THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Our transformation also introduces Screening, making recruitment more accessible and efficient for our hiring managers.

Starting this summer, our new screening process will speed up pre-employment checks and automate document processing, freeing up more time for our hiring managers to focus on recruiting the best people for Norse as we continue to grow.

REJUVENATING OUR HR AND FINANCE SYSTEMS – INTRODUCING SIMPLICITY

AND EFFICIENCY

The next part of our transformation journey will be an important set of changes to our HR and Finance systems. We know that many of our HR and Finance colleagues spend hours each week on time consuming, inconsistent processes. With Project One, we’re streamlining these processes, introducing an efficiency and simplicity that will make the lives of our HR, Finance, and all employees much easier, as people will get time back to focus on ‘value add’. There’ll be more about these changes over the coming months.

Leading us on this transformational journey are CEO Justin Galliford; Group HR Director Katie Marrison; Chief Financial Officer Zoe Repman, and Group Chief Operating Officer and Change Management Sponsor Nick Maddox. Along with Project One Programme Director, Jon Phillips, they are guiding us, ensuring we stay on track and can benefit from the full potential of Project One as it runs through 2023 and beyond.

We’re not just preparing for the future but actively creating it. As we launch Engage and streamline our onboarding process, remember that this is only the start. Many more exciting developments are on the horizon, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
