A fanks and farewell from Frida

As a part of our nation, you might have come across a few of the legends which reside among us. Maybe you’ve heard of the wildest events from decades ago or seen the paintings and names of important people on our walls. Of course, there are more legends than that, some of which only survive within a few memories and archived papers. However recognised they may be, one of the many strengths of communities such as ours is our ability to remember, to tell stories and inspire new ones.

Now, when thin- king of legends you might think of legendary events and battles, great rulers of old, or the legend of Bjärven (illustrated from memory below, fig. 1). For my (fig. 2) last letter to you, I’ll instead focus on the legends who have made this magazine a pretty good one, and have made this job a joy to have. This includes both the previous and current 2Q’s, Olivia and Mattias, and 1Q Olle, whose patience and willingness to help has been greatly appreciated. It also includes all the writers who have taken the time to contribute, as well as all the members, friends, and complete strangers who have supported our work in any which way. But mostly, I want to take this time to thank the editorial team, Hampus, Julia and Cassandra, whose hard work and creativity is the reason this magazine has continued to turn out as well as it has. I can only hope that the next editor-inchief gets to be as lucky as me when it comes to the people working with them.

This issue of Norrlands Varjehanda is dedicated to the people who have put in the effort to preserve, create, and keep our legends alive.
