Norfield has assembled a group of tools specifically designed to perform the basic functions required to produce a prehung door. • Use the Norfield Door Holder to position the door on edge for hinge and lock preparation. • Use the Norfield HingeMaster and the router to simultaneously mortise the door and jamb for 3-1/2”, 4” or 4-1/2” hinges. Template guides and router bits are included for either 1/4” radius hinges or 5/8” radius hinges. • Use the 3/8” drill, Vix bit, bit holder and bit tips to install full butt hinges while the door and jamb are still in the HingeMaster fixtures. This insures a perfect fit for the hinges. • Use the Bosch Planer to bevel the lock edge of the door and the Slickplane to chamber the corner of the door edge after beveling. • Use the Templaco Lock Boring Kit and the 1/2” drill to drill the lock and latch holes. • Use the Templaco templates, TEMCB4 bit and the router to mortise for the latch plate on the door and the strike plate on the strike jamb.
