TEXTILE DESIGN

Textile geometry is the creative and technical process by which thread or yarn fibers are woven together or interlaced to form a flexible, functional, and decorative cloth or fabric which is subsequently printed upon or otherwise adorned.

About me My name is noor afilya binti mohd razi. I am from selangor. I am in my final semester of senior year in bachelor of art and design (HONS) textile design. I am going to tell you little bit about my background. I was born in muar johor. I stayed in kajang selangor for almost 15 years. i choose to be students of bachelor of art and design (HONS) textile design because it will equip one with the knowledge or understanding of The origin of fiber, Ways of constructing fibers into fabrics, Properties of the fabrics, Ways of caring for fabrics, Uses of the fabrics and Sources of fibers. The major reasons for the study of textile is, It helps us to identify the various types of fabrics and their properties., select or choose the suitable fabric for a given purpose e.g. choosing good quality fabrics suitable for bed sheets, curtains, dresses, understanding of how to cut the fabrics along with grains or the bias when designing a fabric, The study of textile helps one to understand the properties of the fabrics that will enable you to choose the best method of washing and dry cleaning. The proper care of fabrics makes them look better and last longer, develop interest in clothing and textile career, and It helps consumers and the traders to know what to buy and how to advise others who do not know. Human advantages include the use of textiles for clothing and shelter, dental and medical devices, and protective firefighting and military clothing and gear. Textile fibers can also be found in computer chips and optical fibers.

DESIGN SALMONELLA BACTERIA

PRODUCT SALMONELLA BACTERIA

MY PRODUCT SALMONELLA BACTERIA presents the motif and color of salmonella bacteria which are visually created as images to be transferred into a printed textile pattern. The shapes were analyzed and develop into various types of design arrangement that suits the overall repeat patterns for printed textiles. The suitability of fabrics and colour coordination was also observed to ensure the overall motif inspired by the salmonella bacteria remained unchanged. Hence, the diversification of design developments from the studies allowed various selections of repeat patterns to be transferred through a digital printing process. Throughout the process of studying and creating the project, researcher was able to make various observations. Digital Printing is the best way to create a design on fabric. From the study, it can be seen that the motif can be easier to place on fabric compared to manual printing such as Batik printing. By using this digital printing, the design pattern looks more clear on the fabric. The result is more high quality. This offers impressive quality and consistency over the other options.

4 METER LENGTH FABRIC
