Kyza JeanAnn Dimig Kyza is the 2 1/2 year old daughter of Sarah Vaughn. Kyza will be expecting a little brother or sister near Christmas. Her grandparents are Bryce & Becky Friedrichsen. Kyza enjoys riding her new bike, her dog named Hank, playing outside & swimming. She loves coloring. Her favorite shows are Bubble Guppies & Dora. Kyza’s favorite foods are spaghetti and fruit snacks.
Kenley Mae Creese My name is Kenley Mae Creese. I am three years old. My parents are Jeremy and Danielle Creese. I have an older brother named Caleb, he is 12 and and older sister named Kendra, she is 10. We live on a farm in Ute, Iowa. On our farm we have dogs, cats, horses, and cows. I love to play outside on my swing set and ride in the tractor with my daddy. I am a very happy and smart little girl. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, playing on my iPad, watching Mickey Mouse, and picking flowers! My favorite foods are popsicles and ice cream. Averi Valentine Averi is the one year old daughter of Madisen Bielenberg and Austin Valentine. Averi is an only child but loves playing with her cousin, Morgan. Her grandparents are Larry & Rhonda Bielenberg, Ron & Lonnie Valentine and great grandparents are Carroll & Rena Skarin. Averi is always very happy and constantly smiling. She loves looking at herself in the mirror, getting her picture taken and taking baths!
Hadley Rae Boettger My name is Hadley. I’m the daughter of Bob & Kellie Boettger and baby sister to Marley. My favorite things to do are eat, sleep and watch my big sister be silly. My grandmothers are Dawn Boettger, Denison and Jane Lubberstedt, Wayne, NE. My great grandmother is Marjorie Wilken, Denison.
Jackson Steinkuehler This is Jackson Raymond Steinkuehler. His parents are Bret and Shandi Steinkuehler of Schleswig. He has one sister, Savannah. He is 4 years old and will be 5 in September. He is very excited to go to transitional kindergarten with his friends this year. He enjoys hunting and fishing with his Grandpa Jack and dad. He is very proud that he can cast his own rod and change the lures himself. He says when he grows up he wants to be a professional fisherman. He likes to go camping and ride his bike with his friends. He also likes to drive his hot wheels and tractors around in the dirt. His favorite food is spaghetti and meatballs.

Jax Cleveland Jax is nicknamed the “Cleveland Caboose” as he is the youngest of six boys. Chance 20, Eli 17, Garrett 12, Kalon 10, Kyelar 8. He likes to swing on the swing set, play DS and ride in Grandpa’s tractor. Also trying to play baseball with the older brothers. Grandparents are Mark & Jolene Stoelk and Dee Cleveland and Ron Cleveland, SR. Parents are Kim & Ron Cleveland, JR.
Kate Margaret Stoelk Kate is the first granddaughter following 7 grandsons, so she is not spoiled! Kate loves to sing Happy Birthday, Old McDonald and ABCs. She likes to dance, pick up candy at parades, go down the slide at the pool, and any activity “outside”, especially 4-wheeler rides from big brother Tyler who is 9. Kate also has a baby sister Mallory who is 8 months old. Grandparents are Mark & Jolene Stoelk and Gene & Joyce Wessling. Great grandma is Irene Eischeid. Parents are Randy & Lisa Stoelk.
Mallory Rae Stoelk Mallory is the youngest of three, sister Kate is 2 and brother Tyler is 9. Mallory loves to smile and give hugs. She likes “reading” books and playing in her exer-saucer. Jordan Boyens Jordan is the happy little boy of Jamie Brockman and Stacy Boyens of Kiron. His grandparents are Jobe and Nancy Boyens of Kiron and Randy and Mary Brockman of Carroll. Brooklynn Fink Brooklynn is the 10 month old daughter of Jeff Fink & Michelle McKee. Brooklynn is a very smart and active baby. Isabel KayLa Miller Isabel was the new surprise addition to the Robert and Danette Miller family of Omaha on January 17th. Right now her favorite things are her bouncy seat, her bumble bee music box, and “growling” at her older brothers, Jensen age 13 and Koen age 8. Jonah Lee Yilek This is Jonah. He is a bright blue eyed boy that is full of smiles. He enjoys playing with blocks, keys, and George the Giraffe. He likes it when we all read books to him. He loves skyping with grandpa and grandma. Morgan Wood My name is Morgan. My parents are Ross & Malory Wood. I am an independent 5 year old with an unlimited amount of energy. I am an only child, but I love to spend time with my cousin, Averi, and teach her the ropes. I like to play with John Deere tractors and help dad work. I love playing on the iPad & mom’s kindle. Charlotte Jo Schrum Charlotte is the five year old daughter of Mike and Annie Schrum of Denison. She is super excited to start kindergarten at St. Rose of Lima and she looks forward to having recess and school lunch! In her spare time she enjoys camping, riding her bike, swimming, talking on the phone, playing outside and learning how to drive the tractor. Caroline Coleen Schrum Caroline is the 20 month old daughter of Mike and Annie Schrum of Denison. She is a happy little soul that loves swimming, camping, shopping, playing babies, dancing, and going on tractor rides. She also enjoys playing with her family, especially her big sister, Charlotte. Caroline’s favorite past times are eating, eating, and then eating some more...she makes sure she doesn’t miss a meal! Ella Cecilia Rosauer Ella Cecilia Rosauer is the 3 year old daughter of Adam and Amy Rosauer of Glenwood, Iowa. Ella loves to dress up as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz and acts out the story with assigning the other characters to her mom, dad, her dogs – Ben a St Bernard dog and Anna, a Beagle. She also dresses up as princesses such as Beauty and the Beast’s Belle, Brave’s Merida, Cinderella and Snow White. Her interest in dinosaurs include whether they are herbavors or carnivors. Ella especially likes to play with her cousins Ellie, Jack and Lola Mendlik and anxiously awaits her new baby brother or sister to arrive soon. Macie Gertrude Mullin Macie is the 3 year old daughter of Andy Mullin and Andrea Lyman. She has enjoyed a summer full of fun, staying at grandma’s house, spending a week with Aunt Sammi and Aunt Marie, fishing for the first time with Uncle Bill and cousin Christopher, racing Trevan on grandma’s deck, going to the campgrounds to see her cousins Charlotte and Caroline, riding in her cousin Connor’s truck and now she is very excited to be starting preschool! Ryan Igou Hi. My name is Ryan Igou. I turned 4 years old on June 23rd. My daddy and mommy are Jamie and Amy Igou. We live in Kiron. There are so many things that I like to do. I love to be outside!! My grandma and grandpa got me my very own swing set for my birthday!!! I like to swing on the swings and go down the slide. But my favorite part of it is the trampoline!! I can jump really high! I also have a sandbox in my backyard that I helped my daddy build. It also has a digger in it. I just finished my very first time going to swimming lessons. I love the water! I think the best part was that I got to go with one of my bestest friends. One of my favorite things to do when we have to stay in the house is color with my mommy. I also like to play with all my semi-trucks and trailers. I have a lot of them! My grandpa has a bunch of semi-trucks and trailers at his house. He gives the cows and pigs rides! I am excited to start preschool again soon. I will learn a lot there! I already can write my name pretty good! Everyday I keep learning more and more things! I am really turning into a BIG BOY!
Lucas William Schneider This handsome little man is Lucas William. He is son of Jake and Tiffany Schneider. Luke lives on an acreage north of Schleswig with his parents, big brother Brody (7), and little sister Addey (21 months), and cat, Crawford. Lucas is all boy! He loves to play in the dirt with his 4 wheeler, tractors, dump truck and cars. He has recently learned how to ride his bike without his training wheels. This is a feat in which he has much joy in accomplishing because it allows him to do just about anything his big brother can do. He likes to go camping, fishing, catch fireflies, and swimming in his pool. He has grown up a lot since his last feature in the Brag Book. He has spent more time entertaining his parents and less time in his time out spot. Although, he still has an ornery side and a knack for sneaking out to play in the rain and puddles. Luke has completed his first year of Preschool at Immanuel Lutheran Preschool in Schleswig, and he is eager to spend more time there this fall. He has enjoyed Vacation Bible School and Nature Camp this summer and is looking forward to a family vacation to Chicago very soon! Lucas William’s grandparents are the late William Ettleman, Pat and Keith Culver of Dunlap, Paul and Tina Briggle of Ricketts and Roger and Karen Schneider of Schleswig. Luke’s great grandma is Adeline Ettleman and honorary “great-grandma” Gwen Demey both of Dow City.

Adalyn Joyce Siegner Adalyn Joyce Siegner is waking up – one eye at a time. She was born July 1, 2013, the first child of Mike and Jenae Siegner of Grimes. Besides making her appearance with lots of blonde hair, she has enough lung power to play a euphonium like her Mom, and long fingers to play guitar like her Dad. Kinze Anastasi Kinze is the active and ornery two year old of Jared and Kris Anastasi of Manilla. She has an older sister Zoey and will be a big sister herself in November. Baylor Dzidra Lally Baylor Dzidra Lally is the 16-month old daughter of Trent and Bria Lally of Logan. She has a brother, Baker, 9 and a sister, Brooklyn, 6. Baylor likes to play with her brother and sister and do whatever they are doing. She likes to ride her bike and go to the zoo with Grandma Bee. Riley Thomas Adams My name is Riley Thomas Adams and I just turned 6 months old. May parents are Eric & Heather Adams. Right now I am an only child, but hopefully someday I will have a younger brother or sister. Everyone who sees me comments on how big my checks are but my mom loves my eyes. I have mastered rolling around quite will and am starting on the art of crawling. Making noise is my favorite hobby; sometimes my parents say almost too much! On weekends I enjoy seeing family and friends, although my favorite is hard to tell. I may be little but I have a HUGE personality, and I love sharing it with everybody.

Greyson Berkley This handsome little guy is Greyson Berkley, son of Michelle and Justin Berkley of DSM. Greyson is four and is looking forward to starting preschool this fall. He can’t wait to make new friends and learn new things. He is quite the story teller, and loves to share facts about dinosaurs and their fossils. He is very creative and can paint pictures of all the angry bird characters. Star Wars and Super Heroes are also some of his favorite toys. Greyson keeps busy playing in his backyard with his little sister, Stella, and his new puppy Scout Ruffington. He loves to come to Denison to visit his grandparents Mike and Mary Freund. He is very excited about his upcoming vacation to St. Louis, MO.

Stella Berkley Stella Berkley, daughter of Michelle and Justin Berkley is a very active two year old. She doesn’t let anything slow her down and has the bumps and bruises to prove it. Stella loves babies and is excited to be getting a new boy cousin in September out in PA. She is all girl though, loves pink, purses and “Pwetties.” She is so happy when her grandparents, Mike and Mary Freund of Denison come to DSM to visit her, especially when they take her to Snookies for an ice cream treat! Stella adores her big brother Grey, and has lots of love to give Scout, her new puppy.

Anna Loren Kroll Anna is the three year old daughter of Kandi Kroll. Her birthday is September 8, 2009. Anna has a big sister named Luci who is seven years old. Anna is total girly girl and loves to sing and dance. Her favorite things to do are play with her Lalaloopsy dolls which she has quite a collection with her sister. You may also find her playing Barbie’s, or cuddling with her beloved min pin dog “Zipper” and watching Lalaloopsy videos on youtube. She also likes to swim and play outside with Luci. Jacob Lundell Jacob Lundell is likely to greet you with a big smile because he knows that there are so many exciting things to do when you live on the farm. Jake receives lots of rides on the 4-wheelers from his brother, Jonathan. Sister, Ally and Jake enjoy playing with the kittens or just being outside. One of Jake’s first spoken words was “tractor” and tractors and trucks still sttract his immediate attention. When wanting to see more or become a bigger part of activities, Jake is likely to climb nearly anything or push his chair closer so he isn’t left out. He is a great helper when mom bakes cookies but when there is an offer to go to the shop with Dad, nothing else matters. Parents, Brad and Sarah find Jacob to be a very determined boy who keeps them delightfully busy.

Levi Lapel Hi! My name is Levi Lapel and I’m eight months old. My parents are Jon and Abby Lapel and we live on a farm outside of Vail. My grandparents are Dave and Lori Genzen of Manning and Jerry and Lori Lapel of Wall Lake. My favorite things to do are play outside, hang out with my cousin, Riley, and help my daddy out. I have an older sister, Kadence, who watches over me, plays with me and gets me into trouble. I like to swing, ride my tricycle and play with our dog, Lexie. My favorite foods are chocolate donuts, buttered bread, French fries and macaroni and cheese. Sometimes I get to stay with Grandpa Jim and Grandma Starla Steinkuehler in Dow City by myself, but usually I stay when Kadence stays. Grandpa Aaron Deitrick, who lives in Des Moines, comes to see us every day. My Grandma Ginger Deitrick watches over me every day because she is in heaven. I also have a great grandma Jeanette who lives a couple blocks away from us in Des Moines. My favorite saying is “You’re mean,” if I don’t get my way.
Kadence Nichole Steinkuehler Kadence Nicole Steinkuehler was born July 16, 2009 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Danielle Deitrick and Ryan Steinkuehler. I have a younger sister, Kenslee, who likes to play Barbies with me. I also have a dog named Lexie who my dad and I take for a walk every day. I will start preschool in September and I am scared. My favorite foods are steak with fat, brownies, chicken nuggets and tacos. My mom, sister and I like to play board games and make things with clay and beads. I get to stay with Grandma Starla and Grandpa Jim Steinkuehler in Dow City a lot, then we go to the park to play, ride my bike and talk to neighbors, and help Grandma cook. Grandpa Aaron Deitrick comes to see us every day. Sometimes he will take me, mom and my sister to appointments ‘cause dad is working Great Grandma Jeanette comes to see us, too, when she isn’t in Mississippi. Grandma Ginger passed away 4 years ago, but I know she watches me. My favorite saying is, “Well, fine then”. The best part was helping Grandpa Jim throw out candy in the parades when he runs for sheriff – which he won.

Adellena Kate Schneider This precious little angel is Adellena Kate. She is the 21 month old daughter of Jake and Tiffany Schneider. Adellena lives on an acreage north of Schleswig with her parents, big brothers Brody (7) and Lucas (4), and her kitty, Crawford. Addey has reached “Big Girl” Status and has given her diapers to her baby cousin Norah. With this new status she has learned how to make quick exit from Church! An excuse she will use multiple times if she has to! She has also exhibited her Big Girl Status by escaping from her baby crib. A trick that she finds to be giggle worthy every time. Addey loves to play outdoors, smelling the flowers, playing on her swingset (where she has gotten to be quite the little climber), swimming in the pool, catching fireflies and chasing her brothers. When she is inside she likes doing all the little girl things: painting her toenails and fingernails, playing with her babies and helping Mommy cook in the kitchen where she likes to lick the spatulas! She also enjoys reading books and ANYTHING with Daddy. She has her Daddy wrapped tightly around her little finger, and Mommy is sure to photograph every tea party, playhouse adventure, and makeover episode Addey has talked her Dad into participating in! However, Addey’s real passion is with SHOES! If you want to hear her squeal with delight just show her a pair of shoes. Adellena Kate’s grandparents are the late William Ettleman, Pat and Keith Culver of Dunlap, Paul and Tina Briggle of Ricketts and Roger and Karin Schneider of Schleswig. Addey’s amazing great grandma and namesake is Adeline Ettleman and honorary “great-grandma” Gwen Demey both of Dow City.
Parker Taffae Parker Edward Taffae is the son of Jean (Brown) and James Taffae of Norwalk, Iowa and the grandson of Marge and the late Edward Brown of Denison. He has two half brothers and one half sister. He is a very happy little boy and he loves playing and being on the go.

Sophie Weaver This adorable little girl is one-year old Sophie Grace Weaver. Sophie lives in Charles City, Iowa, with her parents, Robert and Jenn Weaver. Her grandparents are Jan Weaver of Mason City and Allen and Sandy Hansohn of Denison. Sophie loves to blow kisses to everyone she meets. She is a very friendly and outgoing little girl. Some of her favorite things to do are go shopping with Mommy, ride on Daddy’s shoulders and go on long walks with Daddy and Mommy. She loves to have Grandma Jan read to her. She always has fun playing with the puppies at Papa and Grandma Sandy’s house. Sophie even got to spend a whole week with Papa and Grandma Sandy while Mommy and Daddy went on their honeymoon. Her absolute favorite thing to do is go swimming with Auntie Brianna. That is always lots of fun!
Norah Kay Ettleman Norah Kay was born March 4, 2013. At 5 months old, Norah is a happygrowing baby who can lighten the room with just her smile. She loves laying on the floor and rolling back and forth, and chewing on her toys especially her bunny’s ears. Norah enjoys sitting babbling at the dinner table with mommy and daddy during supper and sitting outside on the deck watching her puppy brothers play.
