Letter from the Executive Director
Happy New Year! What an incredible ride 2022 turned out to be! It hasn’t all been smooth It hasn’t all been easy, but we made it through with some great achievements NOMV as an organization, a movement, and a community is bigger, stronger, and more prepared to fulfill our mission than ever before
Some highlights of 2022 include:
Launching Lifeboat by NOMV, a program that serves veterinary professionals in crisis with anonymous, evidence-based peer support

Launching the CLEAR Blueprint mentally healthy workplace certificatio
Executing a massive expansion of our Support Grants program to provide over 300 grants to individuals in crisis and 16 grants to clinics to help them reopen following natural disasters
Initiating a comprehensive study of the needs of students in U.S. veterinary school
Conducting a comprehensive intersectional research project in conjunction with MCVMA and Pride VMC
Creating the NOMV Ambassador program and launching 4 new local chapters
Creating a comprehensive strategic plan to guide the organization for the next three years
And so much more
As we look forward to 2023, we have big plans including:
Launching student chapters at veterinary schools
Broadly expanding the CLEAR Blueprint program following the official launch at VMX
Launching a Cyberbullying Task Force
Creating new local chapters
Increasing the support given to individuals through Lifeboat
And so much more…
