David Brocken David Brocken

David Brocken, Belgian, born in 1971.

I am an amateur photographer, who has not found his own style yet. Photography is moving all the time. Last years I prefer the Black/White, but stil I make many colour pictures. Here during this exhibition I show my B/W pictures. Photography has made me look at things different, helped me to discover more my surroundings. But also is guiding me to read and understand people better. I hope that people can enjoy my pictures.

URBAN HYMN

Elisabeth Østreng Elisabeth Østreng

I portray Life and the art of being Human as I see it; simultaneously fragile and strong, lonely and connected, marked by struggle, driven by bravery. Urban life fascinates me the most because of the striking contrasts and the multiple forms of human expression, such as architecture, street art and painted messages on concrete walls. URBAN HYMN

José Ramón Ayala José Ramón Ayala Portrait of Venezuela

José Ramón Ayala is a Venezuelan photographer born in Caracas in 1970 and living in Norway since 2010.

Interested in photography since childhood he studied in the Roberto Mata Photography School in Caracas throughout 2009, participating in many workshops and photographic expeditions, and since then has developed personal photographic projects and commissions in Venezuela and Norway.

His body of work consists mainly in landscapes and contextual portraits of people he meets in towns and roads. Relaying on the compositional techniques of the Flemish painters, he has developed a personal style in his portraits that seeks to capture the person’s character and spirit, but also to document their reality placing them in their natural environment in a honest and dignified way.

Portrait of Venezuela is a project developed between the years 2009 and 2013 during several photographic expeditions, traveling the country west to east. Ayala’s interest in the social issues led him to document the way of life of the inhabitants of some of the most diverse towns and villages, in many cases not so far from the big cities. The approach to these anonymous subjects through the dialogue and sensitivity, often knocking on the door of their homes, created the connection that allowed the guidance to capture a genuine moment in their spaces of every day life, using these as sets, with no lights and technology, just the camera.

Sandro Vanni has many years’ experience in photography. From analog film and developing images in the darkroom, the path led him on to digital photography. On his travels around the globe, it is absolutely “the moment” that captures his attention. Portraits, emotions, chance events, sadness, happiness, details ... everything “the moment” has to offer.
