1. WHAT WORD DO YOU ASSOCIATE WITH NOBLES? Community. 2. HOW HAS YOUR NOBLES EDUCATION SHAPED WHO YOU ARE TODAY? I appreciate how descriptive vocabulary often will come to mind, thanks to rigorous exercises in Dick Baker’s English classes; how I am comfortable speaking in front of a group of people thanks to Nick Marinaro’s Public Speaking course; how Louis Barassi’s AP Euro classes made me realize that I was passionate about art history and decide to pursue it as my concentration in college and later work at an art museum; how Bob Freeman’s painting classes fostered my creativity and love of the arts; and how I enjoy working on a team and pursuing competitive projects thanks to my time spent with Julia Russell on the lacrosse field. 3. WHAT LESSON DID YOU LEARN? At Nobles I was encouraged to be open-minded, to try new experiences, and to not give up despite challenges along the way. 4. WHY DO YOU GIVE BACK TO NOBLES BY SUPPORTING THE ANF? I enjoy contributing to the vitality of a place that is important to me. I work in fundraising and realize how big of an impact the little gifts can make. My gifts to the ANF are validated when I learn how tuition doesn’t cover all the costs of running a place like Nobles.
