Uncle Chris kindly offers Mel a home. But Aunt Maria’s growing hostility towards her niece erupts into violence. Dejected and hurt, Mel runs away. With nowhere else to turn she is lured into a world of vice by the mesmeric Kizzy. Disillusioned, Mel runs again - only to fall into even greater danger. Meanwhile, Chris, Maria and Lisa confront a family secret that will change their lives forever.

WRITER/PRODUCER ‘In moving on to a feature film project, it is my aim to open filmmaking up to all those who have the passion and talent to make a contribution to film drama with a social conscience’

Donna is a professional actress, drama teacher, film maker and writer who is currently the Director of DT Films. Her love for film and theatre goes back to her childhood and her early ambitions were realised when she was selected for Mountview Theatre School. Later she became a member of the renowned Chicken Shed Theatre where she spent many years training in their practice of inclusive theatre. She has worked in all areas of theatre, including production, outreach projects and BTEC National, as well as performing in key roles on stage. Donna was also involved in the creation of a registered charity theatre company, ‘Acting Up’ where she was a director of children’s theatre. Since forming DT Films, Donna has written, directed and produced many short films, including TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT with over seven million views to date.

CO-PRODUCER Harry has over 32 years experience in the British Film industry. As a director of Big H Productions Ltd., he has produced over a dozen shorts as well the feature film Free Spirits. He has also acted as Film Consultant on the features Cleanskin & Puritan. For 17 years, Harry was an executive at Bucks Motion Picture Laboratories Ltd., utilising his vast knowledge of film post-production on numerous films, including the recent hit Tell No One (starring Kristen Scott Thomas).

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY After graduating from the National Film School, Sue became a Director of Photography, launching her career in TV commercials. Working in A, New York, Paris, London, South Africa and Russia, Sue received recognition from the British Television Awards, the Designers & Art Directors Association and the Cannes Festival. Her first feature Hear My Song (1989), directed by Peter Chelsom was quickly followed by Dennis Potterâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Secret Friends (1990), which won her the Evening Standard Film Award (1992). Since then she has photographed several more features including Mrs Dalloway, Resident Evil and Alien vs Predator. Her TV credits include Among Women, The Forsyte Saga and various Agatha Christie adaptations. She also set the style for the successful BBC series Spooks for Kudos Films. In 1992 The British Society of Cinematographers made her its first woman member. She is an active Board member of the BSC and was President from 2008 to 2010
