At this camp, each child will partake in a simulated fossil excavation by uncovering dinosaur bones to be assembled and used to create their own 3-dimensional figure. Other activities include learning about fossils, making a plaster fossil replica and working with a rock and mineral collection. This unique camp experience includes excavation tools, labels and specimen bags as well as the use of geological time and fossil charts.

Summer Horse Camps Ages 7-18 Come join us at Nova Quarter Horse for four fun-filled days of riding and horsemanship skills. Riders will learn about grooming, bridles and saddling horses. Every day will also include riding lessons. On the last day of camp, a student horse show will be held to demonstrate what they have learned to their families and friends. Guitar & Keyboard Camps Ages 7 & Over LCC (Bi-Centennial Room) Entry C A supply fee of $15.95 payable to Guitar Fun-damentals is due to the instructor on the first day of class. Please bring an acoustic or electric guitar to class each week. If you are bringing an electric guitar, you will also need to bring a practice amp and cord. Guitar rentals are available at a cost of $5 per week and need to be set up prior to the first class. Call Mr. Clark at 630.788.4647 to reserve your guitar today. A rental agreement needs to be signed by an adult and half of the fee is due on the first day of class with balance due on the last day of class. Any cancelled rentals will forfeit half of total rental fee or if it’s past the mid-session will forfeit the full rental fee.

Hovercraft Vehicle Design Camp Ages 7-12 LCC (Bi-Centennial Room) Entry C

At this camp, you will build your own air-powered hovercraft which will defy gravity. Once it’s up and moving, use your creativity to control its direction. You will also build your own model car as well as egg-drop car designed to cushion a raw egg and be dropped from a high height. In the camp challenges, you will learn about the laws of motion, energy, air pressure, friction, lift, speed and acceleration. This camp provides learning and fun in the “Sciensational” hands-on way.
