To the Media Interview Policy All NKU basketball coaches and players are available for interviews with the media following events or practices. All telephone interviews must be arranged through either the sports information office or the head coach. The best time to interview players is before or after practices, but the sports information office will also set up telephone interviews if requested. The coaching staff is usually available during morning hours and will return calls when requests are made through the sports information office. Following the completion of events, NKU players will be available after a 10-minute cooling off period. The locker rooms are private team areas and media members are not permitted inside unless accompanied by NKU sports information personnel. The sports information staff will assist in locating coaches and players for the media after events. Coach Dave Bezold Postgame Interview NKU head coach Dave Bezold will conduct a postgame press conference in the media room for all home games in The Bank of Kentucky Center. Coach Bezold will begin the press conference 20 minutes after the completion of the game. He will also be available for one-on-one interviews following the press conference. When requested, selected players will also be brought to the media room for interviews. Visiting Head Coach Postgame Interview When requested by the media and agreed to by the visiting coach, NKU will conduct a postgame interview for that coach 10 minutes after the completion of the game. The visiting sports information director will determine that coach’s availability prior to the start of the game. Practices NKU practices are generally open to the media, but please call the sports information office in advance. Television stations and still photographers are welcome to shoot practice sessions as long as they do not disturb the coaches or players during practice. Please contact the sports information office for practice times and locations. Credentials Please contact sports information director Don Owen at either (859) 572-5470 or owend@nku.edu for media credentials. Please make requests as soon as possible for credentials. Working press credentials are only for accredited media. Media Parking A limited number of spots are available in The Bank of Kentucky Center back lot, located near the loading dock. The media entrance is next to the dock and credentials will be issued inside. Media Room The media room (Press/Green Room 104) is located at the south end of The Bank of Kentucky Center, just a few yards from the credential table to the left, and has wireless Internet available. The postgame press conference will be conducted in Room 106, located next door to the media room and giving reporters easy access to the interviews.
