Tips/Tricks

Don't forget to clean all equipment you brought back from convention. Not only does it keep any unwanted illness away, but then it's ready for next year already!

I’m BAAAACK District 2!!! Thank you so much Amber Henderson for her past 2 terms as our District 2 Director. We were in excellent hands with her thoughtful care of our members and passion for our breed. We are in your debt for a job well done!

Now, of course the remainder of my report will be devoted to the 2022 99th ARBA Convention in Reno , NV. Again, thank you to Amber Henderson for the awesome looking Jersey Wooly booth. Also a thank you to District 1 Director Bethany Robertson and her daughter Aria for all their balloon blowing up expertise. On to placements! Congratulations to Cheryl Loesch on Best of Breed with her gorgeous self senior doe and our own Amber Henderson for Best Opposite of Breed with her Broken senior buck. It’s always great to see 2 long time breeders win the top awards. Since this was a “local” Convention for our district, our members had a great showing! Our one youth exhibitor Bettina Curletto once again owned the Agouti group with Best of Group and Best Opposite. Open Agouti group saw Michaeline McConnell in the top 5 with almost all her entries. In the Open AOV group, we will get to see more than Pointeds next year, YAY! I was honored to take home both BOG, Senior doe and BOSG, Senior buck. The Open Broken group saw the greatest success for our members. First place Senior buck (as well as BOG and BOSB) was Amber, second place Michaeline, and I snuck in with fourth place. First place Senior doe (BOSG) as well as first place Junior buck were owned and bred Sarah and Shane Maki. Rounding out brokens was first place Junior doe owned by Max Horan and bred by Sarah and Shane Maki. The self group had placements won by Jasmine Crawford, Amber, Sarah/Shane and myself. Group 5, Shadeds, BOG, Senior doe and BOSG, Senior buck, both owned and bred by myself. Sarah and Shane as well as Linda Means also had strong placements in this group. The last group, Tan, also had many of our members doing well, Melodye Alicia, Jasmine, Amber, Linda, Sarah/Shane and Max. I was shocked to be awarded BOG with an otter buck bred by DeAnn and Niles Boulier. Lastly, Best Display was humbly won by me, such and honor! There are a few of us who are already planning the trip to Louisville next year for the 100th anniversary Convention, it’s never too early. If there is anything I can do for our district members, please do not hesitate to contact me via Messenger or email dogznkidz@ hotmail.com . Until next time, good luck on the tables and in the nest boxes.
