Secretary Report

Members of the Njwrc;

I hope this article finds you all doing well. As I write this, we are finally getting a reprieve from our unseasonably warm weather we have had here in west central Wisconsin. Mother nature seemed to want to skip spring and jump right into summer here.

A couple of weeks ago we had our Jersey Wooly national show, held by the Great Plains Jersey Wooly Rabbit Club. I was able to attend the national show, but unfortunately, couldn’t attend the banquet, but heard great things about it. Was very surprised with the turn out and was great to meet some of the faces of our constituents that I hadn’t had the chance to meet prior. Congratulations goes out to our BIS and RIS winners. Were some very nice animals presented from all over this great nation, and some from Canada as well. I want to extend a very large thank you to the people that were able to come and support the club in their national show. As the club secretary for that club as well, it was nice to see such a great turnout.

Our memberships have been remaining stable and have risen some since the chaos of Covid seems to be subsiding some. Goes to show that through even the hardest times our members prove to be a great group of people to work with, and the friendships gained from this wonderful breed of rabbits are irreplaceable.

Thank you for your time, Doug Brown
