‘Billions at Play’ by NJ Ayuk: Bringing the long awaited growth and transformation to the African energy markets Founder and CEO of the famous Centurion Law Group, NJ Ayuk has always stayed with a notion that Africa’s oil and gas resources are quite capable to fuel in the socioeconomic renaissance across the continent. This is where he talked about his decision of coming up with a book named ‘Billions at Play’ in a recent interview given to a famous news journal. What's there in the book? The book, “Billions at Play: The Future of African Energy”, which he said is going to be released on October 2019, will be corporate with appealing, useful ideas, stories, examples and information that can be used by the African nations to take the command of their future, from all the latest oil revenue management models, gas to power, to the deal-making techniques and backstage strategies that NJ Ayuk guardian has successfully designed in collaboration with all the multinationals and African governments.

Speaking of the additional topics that are going to be covered in the book by NJ Ayuk Africa energy chambers , that would include the significance of women in oil and gas leadership, monetizing petroleum resources, the relevance of American investment in Africa’s oil and gas industry in President Trump’s era, local content, addressal of African energy security concerns, discussion about the new African game changers, and the value that can be brought to the African countries by active involvement in The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

NJ Ayuk, who is also the co-author of another book named Big Barrels: African Oil and Gas and the Quest for Prosperity and further comes as the Executive Chairman of the Africa Energy Chamber, affirms that, “We’ve heard more than enough about the challenges facing Africa. So, Instead of dwelling on our problems, we should now be working together to reverse Africa’s Resource Curse. Don’t get me wrong, this book will not be an idealistic treatise for a better world. It will have more of a ‘stop complaining, get up and get to work’ kind of message—backed up with practical ideas for strategically harnessing Africa’s petroleum resources.” The core purpose behind writing this book NJ Ayuk further stated that the main purpose for him to write this book is to trigger a healthy discussion and dialogue about the future of the African energy industry that is witnessing some big challenges in countries like Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, South Sudan, Algeria, Uganda, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Gabon, South Africa, Angola, Libya, Niger, Congo, Chad, Mauritania, Tanzania and so on. He further stated, “I know there will be readers who disagree with my points, and I welcome that. Still, We can’t make meaningful, positive changes for everyday Africans until we start discussing a way forward. “The more we advocate personal responsibility, limited government, free markets, individual liberty, and


an enabling environment for investment, Africa’s oil industry and African stand to benefit than relying on foreign aid and assistance.�
