NO ORDINARY LAMP
The bottle gourd is one of the first plants that has been cultivated. Used mainly for vessel in the past, now it is back on the stage in a new light… to light. Why to craft wood with thousands of tools when the nature gives ready perfectly imperfect form for a lampshade – the gourd’s one. It is the best natural home of light with its outer and inner beauty. Not to mention it is a renewable resource – bottle gourd is a fast growing annual. I call this meant-to-be design. Can we mass-produce work lamp with irregular natural shade? No Ordinary Lamp design is a solution to this challenge.
GOURD LAMP
Unlike most desk lamps, No Ordinary Lamp features two arms and no fasteners at all. Unexpected materials need unexpected construction. A silicone part as soft attachment overwhelms the shade’s irregular form and provide leveling.
TABLE LAMP
Hole-magnetic system allows fixing, four angles head direction and in-second assembling. No Ordinary Lamp is an innovative, lightweight, cordless, selfassembled solar LED lamp for indoors. A table lamp yet a work lamp to use in an environmentally conscious, no ordinary way.
