Get Hands On is an advocacy campaign for parents of deaf children, aiming for them to actively learn and use Filipino Sign Language (FSL) as a primary method of communication with their deaf children. Based on the insight that deaf children develop strong identities when they use their natural language, and that there is a lack of resources for parents to learn FSL, the campaign was made to create a movement of “Hands On� parents that encourage signing. Research says that the best way to learn sign is to be experience it first-hand, and to be involved with the Deaf community. This allows parents to connect with each other.
