2021 BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION CANDIDATES
Meet the candidates who have decided to run for the 2021 Board of Director’s election. Each year you, as a Pocono Farms homeowner, have the opportunity and the responsibility to select those of your fellow members who will serve youon our Board of Directors. You have a voice in your Association and its future through our Board of Directors. Take this opportunity to inform yourself, and then vote for the candidates who you believe will be the best people to work with OUR other Board members to guide our Association towards the future.
Jim Ribardo
Pocono Farms Member for 42 years
OCCUPATION: Former teacher; retired commercial insurance agent
COMMITTEES, CLUBS, VOLUNTEER WORK & OTHER
ACTIVITIES PARTICIPATED IN: PFCC Board of Directors (97-00, 19-22). Committees: Ad Hoc Insurance (25 years), Long Range Planning, Golf, Nominations & Elections. I have provided photographs for display in our community restaurant, offices, website, pro shop and community advertising. I am a member of the fitness center, and have participated in go It: bocce & dart leagues.
SKILLS, TALENTS, OR SPECIALIZED TRAINING:
BS in Ed & MA Seton Hall University. My work experience primarily involved small business owners, contractors, professionals, aud several homeowner associations very similar to PFCCA.
MOTIVATION FOR SEEKING SEAT ON THE BOARD:
Pocono Farms is my home! I want the best community possible to benefit all of our present and future residents.

OF COMMUNITY: Pocono Fanns has always experienced periods of growth. Recent real estate developments have brought changes that effect everyone. Prior Boards have always addressed the immediate situations facing residents. We must continue in a fiscally responsible manner, but long range planning should become an even greater priority.
WHY SHOULD THE MEMBERSHIP ELECT ME: I have many years experience working with our community management and board. I will try to be positive and objective while listening to all. Thank you.

MOTIVATION FOR SEEKING SEAT ON THE BOARD:
Having served on the Board of Directors for six years, and as the Board Treasurer for four years, I have a comprehensive understanding of Pocono Farms Country Club, the needs of our community, the financial status of the community and I want to bring that experience back to the Board of Directors. I have the utmost respect and admiration for our Board of Directors, their commitment to Pocono Farms is impressive. I would like the opportunity to continue giving back in a productive and thoughtful way to our community. There are many challenges that Board of Directors must face, and I am willing and able to put my experience, love, and dedication to the Farms to help work through those challenges.

OF COMMUNITY: Today, we are continuing to experience uncharted territory. This global pandemic has impacted us in so many ways and will continue to do so for quite some time. Our lives are drastically changed, focusing on social distancing, and keeping our family members safe. Learning our “new normal’. Having spent the past 35+ years of my professional career in health care, and having worked through some of the challenges that COVID-19 has placed on us as individuals, community members, residents of the state of Pennsylvania, I would like to bring my knowledge and experience to help us rebuild, learn and grow from this experience.

The members should elect me because they think I am the right candidate. My track record, knowledge and experience should help them recognize my strengths and commitment to Pocono Farms. Thank you for considering me.

Many years in budgeting and project management that has allowed for expanding services to the community. As a supervisor with Coolbaugh Township helping goals to make this a continued place to live.
MOTIVATION FOR SEEKING SEAT ON THE BOARD:
Since retiring as the Fire Chief, I am looking to become part of something bigger in my home community by working with a diverse group to bring projects and events for all our members.

OF COMMUNITY: Creating a stable budget that will allow for services to grow that allows for more community involvement, for all ages to enjoy. Improvements to the beach, clubhouse and events offered.

OCCUPATION: I retired from New York Police Dept. and Pocono Mountain School District

ACTIVITIES PARTICIPATED IN: Multiple times in the past, I have had the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors and at times serving as the Association’s Vice President. I have been on the Pool, Recreation, House, Finance, Long Range Planning and Crime Watch Committee’s I have also served as the Vice President for the support staff at Pocono Mountain School District
SKILLS, TALENTS, OR SPECIALIZED TRAINING: I am a people person who listens to what people are really saying. I have a good feel for what is really happening in our community. I have been involved in many of the activities of Pocono Farms for the last thirty years. I have a good sense of our history and fell for what should be done now. MOTIVATION FOR SEEKING SEAT ON THE BOARD: I am motivated by a sense of giving back to the Community that I love to live in. Betty Ann and I are fortunate that our daughter Jaclyn has had the experience and enjoyment of growing up in the farms.

OF COMMUNITY: I would encourage future Boards to maximized the return on our amenities while using the fiscal prudence needed in these challenging economic times. We must adapt our policies to the changing needs of a changing population.
WHY SHOULD THE MEMBERSHIP ELECT ME: I am an open-minded, objective person who comes in with no agenda except to keep Pocono Farms moving forward in the direction that will benefit all of us.
