Finally, some nice weather! As a board we’ve had a very busy winter. We’re excited about some new projects that will be completed in 2022. If you haven’t already heard the news, our playground near the beach, is going to be updated with new, safe equipment suitable for children of all ages. We’re still waiting on the final plans but there’s a great chance you kids will be enjoying the new playground within the next several months. While we had budgeted for a new liner for our outdoor pool, as you might have heard, this winter was not kind to our 50+ year old original pool. We’re working diligently with our management team and pool contractors to find a fiscally responsible fix for the structural damage that occurred due to the freeze/thaw cycles on 50-year-old concrete. If you attended the Community Update at the end of March, Dave Timko gave an overview of the issues and potential fixes which do include a complete replacement of the pool. Hopefully by the time of publishing, a plan is in place, and this is old news. I’d also like to take the time to mention that it seems many of our residents were under the impression that you had to be a golf member to play golf on our beautiful 18-hole golf course. While it is a “private” course, as a resident you are very welcome to come try it. The Pro Shop can give you information and even offers a “Resident Non-Member” rate for golf. If you’re not ready to play a full 9 or 18 holes, purchase a bucket of balls from the Pro Shop and hit the driving range to test out your drive. Make 2022 the year you tried our course! And when you’re done, swing over to the Lakeside Grill & Pub for something to eat! Hope to see you out there!
