VISION AIM

Manshiyat Nasser, also known as Garbage City, is a neighborhood in Cairo, Egypt, where the Zabbaleen community collects and recycles the city’s waste. Recycling plays a significant role in Manshiyat Nasser, where the Zabbaleen community has developed efficient recycling practices. They collect waste from various sources, manually sort through it to separate recyclables, and employ different techniques to process and recycle materials such as paper, plastic, metal, and glass.

‘AGORA’ referred to a central gathering place in cities where people engaged in various activities. It served as a marketplace where merchants traded goods, including food, clothing, and crafts. it was also a venue for political debates and discussions, where citizens would come together to discuss and decide on matters concerning their city-state. Additionally, it functioned as a social space where people met, socialized, and exchanged ideas. The agora was often the heart of the city and played a crucial role in the public life

Manshyet Nasser’s community is known for its strong bonds and solidarity, reflected in shared traditions and values. The neighborhood also nurtures a diverse music and performing arts scene, with a focus on Coptic chants and hymns. Additionally, oral traditions and folklore play a vital role in preserving the collective memory and cultural identity of Manshyet Nasser. Overall, the neighborhood’s cultural heritage showcases resilience, creativity, and a deep connection to its unique environment.

Manshyet Nasser, particularly the Garbage City area, is known for its thriving second-hand product market. The neighborhood offers a wide range of second-hand items, including clothing, accessories, furniture, home decor, electronics, appliances, books, media, and vintage collectibles. The residents of Manshyet Nasser have developed a unique economy centered around recycling and repurposing items collected from Cairo’s waste. It’s advisable to visit the neighborhood to explore the markets and shops for specific second-hand products, and bargaining is common when making purchases.

The goal of this project is to create a landmark that will attract both local residents and tourists. It aims to be remembered for its simplicity and unique design, becoming a symbol of the area.

USER EXPERIENCE

To create a lively and remarkable commercial, cultural, public, and entertainment area, several key elements should be considered. These include incorporating unique architecture, offering a variety of businesses and amenities, designing inviting public spaces, showcasing local culture, providing entertainment options, ensuring accessibility and safety, implementing effective signage and wayfinding, hosting regular events, and maintaining the area properly. By focusing on these aspects, the area can create a vibrant and engaging experience for visitors, fostering a sense of community and attracting a diverse range of people.

STRUCTURE SYSTEM

In designing the unique mass of Agora, a suitable structure system was carefully chosen to accommodate the load requirements while also enhancing its uniqueness. The incorporation of V columns serves multiple purposes, acting as gateways for each zone and providing increased privacy. These columns help differentiate the various zones, highlighting their distinct uses within the space.

Additionally, a space truss system was utilized, not only for its functional purposes but also to serve as a visually striking architectural feature. The space truss adds aesthetic appeal to the overall design, contributing to the unique and captivating character of Agora.

OPENINGS

The use of the triangulation method in Agora’s circular mass adds uniqueness and allows for abundant natural light. Triangular elements provide structural stability and visual interest, while openings maximize the entry of light. Agora benefits from a distinctive design that combines the triangulation method and ample natural lighting.

PUBLIC AREAS

Agora is not just a marketplace; it also features expansive public areas for locals to gather, attend festivals, and learn about the culture and history of Manshyet Nasser. These spaces foster community engagement and provide opportunities for cultural exchange.

Agora serves as a vibrant hub where locals can come together, celebrate, and deepen their connection to their cultural heritage.

RETAILS

Agora promotes sustainability by exclusively offering second-hand products, benefiting from the recycling process in Manshyet Nasser. This approach reduces waste, supports a circular economy, and encourages environmentally responsible consumption. Customers can enjoy shopping for unique pre-owned items while contributing to a more sustainable future.

OPEN DAY MARKET

Renting a retail space is not mandatory to market your products. Instead, an open day market concept is available, providing locals with the opportunity to sell their products for one or two days. it offers a flexible and accessible platform for local vendors to display and sell their products within a designated timeframe.

VISION AIM

Administrative buildings in Egypt, like in any other country, have their disadvantages. Some of these include overcrowding, bureaucratic processes, lack of accessibility, security concerns, inadequate infrastructure and maintenance, centralization of power, and corruption risks. Efforts are being made to address these challenges through administrative reforms and improvements in areas such as efficiency, accessibility, transparency, and accountability.

we can focus on efficient space planning optimize the use of available space through thoughtful design. This involves considering the workflow and functional requirements, accessibility, sustainability, technology integration, security measures, community engagement spaces, transparency, cultural context, flexibility, and stakeholder collaboration. VISION AIM

The project aims to create an integrated environment for guests, residents, and visitors to enjoy a wide range of activities and services. building a sustainable luxury hotel involves incorporating sustainable design and construction practices, prioritizing energy efficiency and water conservation, implementing effective waste management strategies, sourcing materials responsibly, promoting green transportation options and engaging with the local community.

The project involves the construction of a 5-star hotel connected to the new Egyptian Engineers Syndicate site. It includes residential, recreational, commercial, health, and sports facilities. The hotel offers luxury accommodations, while residential units provide comfortable living spaces.

Recreational amenities, commercial spaces, and sports facilities cater to leisure and entertainment needs. Health facilities ensure convenient access to medical services.

Building a hotel in the 5th Settlement in New Cairo, Egypt offers several advantages. The area is rapidly developing, with ongoing infrastructure improvements, making it an attractive location. The 5th Settlement is known for its affluent residential communities, providing a nearby customer base for the hotel. Additionally, the area houses business parks, offices, educational institutions, and offers convenient transportation access. Egypt’s growing tourism sector further enhances the hotel’s potential. Overall, establishing a hotel in the 5th Settlement presents opportunities for economic growth, job creation, and investment.

Overall, building a hotel in the 5th Settlement in New Cairo offers numerous advantages. The area’s growing tourism sector, lifestyle and leisure facilities, international business hub, high-end residential community, medical tourism potential, proximity to educational institutions, and exclusive event opportunities all contribute to the appeal of establishing a luxury hotel in this location.

Water features and landscape elements in hotels create a memorable and visually appealing experience for guests. Water elements, provide a sense of tranquility and relaxation while also cooling down the temperature in outdoor areas. 04 MUSEUM & RESEARCH CENTER ALEXANDRIA

VISION AIM

the submerged city of Thonis-Heracleion was discovered by archaeologist Franck Goddio and his team off the coast of Egypt. It had been considered a legend, mentioned in rare inscriptions and texts. The Egyptian government plans to build an underwater antiquities museum in Alexandria to revive tourism and facilitate research on the ruins. This museum will showcase the historical significance of Thonis-Heracleion and its artifacts, contributing to the preservation and understanding of the city’s history.

he aim of the project is to create a small city on the island in Abu Qir, Egypt, dedicated to reviving and showcasing the submerged antiquities of Alexandria. The city will include a museum to exhibit the discovered artifacts, a research center to facilitate further exploration and study, and a hotel to accommodate tourists interested in visiting the site. The project seeks to revive interest in the submerged treasures, promote tourism, and contribute to the preservation and understanding of Alexandria’s underwater heritage.

the discovery of the submerged city of ThonisHeracleion in the Abu Qir region off the coast of Alexandria, Egypt, has provided valuable insights into the history and culture of ancient Alexandria. The underwater ruins have revealed architectural remains, artifacts, and a shipwreck that shed light on the daily life and maritime activities of the city’s inhabitants. Ongoing archaeological research and excavations continue to uncover a wealth of artifacts, contributing to our understanding of the ancient world.

The Egyptian government’s plans to construct an underwater antiquities museum in Alexandria reflect the significance of preserving and showcasing these submerged antiquities. The submerged antiques of Abu Qir and Alexandria have captured global interest and offer a captivating glimpse into the rich history of the region.

Museum in this project aimed to include the submerged antiques, it contain an underwater musuem which we can see more antique under the water which will be a significant experience for the user. Research Center is supposed to include many researchers and scientists who search in the topic of submegred city and antiques.

ENTERTAINMENT ZONE

The projects contains entertainment zones to gather, eat and rest between this significant journey through this mini city, it contains foodcourts, gathering areas, cafes and restaurants and too many seafront walkways.

HOTEL

This project will be more touristic, they can come and see our significant treasures and rest in the hotel with the unique sea view. It’s a luxurious and remarkable journey through this project.

05 BERLIN AFFORDABLE HOUSING BERLIN

VISION AIM

Berlin has rebuilt itself after the devastation of World War II, embracing modernist architecture and creating a new aesthetic. A specific project in the city emphasizes the importance of nature and integration with the surroundings. The project combines modern and traditional elements, creating a harmonious and healthy living environment. Berlin’s architecture represents a balance between progress and heritage.

The project aimed to connect two parks by creating a cohesive and green environment. Three units of different sizes were designed to accommodate various population numbers. The units can be positioned and shaped flexibly, adding variety to the site. The design emphasizes the incorporation of green spaces, allowing for a refreshing atmosphere and potential expansion. Each unit offers direct views of at least one park, fostering a strong connection with nature.

The site is located on the eastern side of Berlin, directly overlooking the volkspark from 2 sides and the freundlin street, minutes from the subway station.

Our site is located between two parks in berlin, our purpose was to create a link between them with the same language, we wanted to attach them with the same green spirit trying to change the site to a beautiful healthy environment.

The city’s vibrant atmosphere and opportunities attract people from various backgrounds, leading to a strain on the housing market and rising rental prices. Berlin has implemented policies and programs to address this issue, including rent control measures, the promotion of affordable housing construction, and social housing initiatives. The aim is to ensure that residents of all income levels have access to suitable and affordable housing, supporting social cohesion and a high quality of life in the city.

The comfort solution is designing a facade which is rotated somehow to the face which is not corresponded to the sun rays with creating a proper openings for the people to enjoy the view of the green park without being harmed with the direct sunlight using the the VERTIACAL LOUVERS as a solution to decrease this direct sun light to pass into the rooms.

Unity but also on point. just a small 1 repeated unit but it gives a unique shape, it can be expanding in the future to be more felexible if the number of residents increased by time as berlin face a problem in the amount of affordable housing

A great connection between the inside and outside because of using the metallic net which provide shading and reduces the energy enters the building and also lets the user enjoys the outstanding views of the two parks by the windows without getting harmed by the direct sunlight, So it gives comfort to the user despite inside or outside the space at terrace.

A great communtiy, they can gather and socialize, also sustainable and can face all climate conditions, A beautifule unique External staircases which make the building more unique and special.

the college’s garden is currently inaccessible and neglected, which presents an opportunity for students to think like architects and propose a redesign. By assessing the garden’s condition, identifying needs and requirements, creating a design concept, seeking support and collaboration, planning and executing the redesign, and monitoring and adapting as needed, students can transform the garden into a functional and appealing space that enhances the college experience for all.

GATHERING AREA

Create a designated space where students can gather and socialize. This area should be comfortable, with seating options and perhaps some shade or shelter.

WORKING SPACE

Designate a separate area where students can work quietly and focus on their projects. This space should provide a peaceful and conducive environment for studying and collaborative work.

EXHIBITION AREA

Allocate an area within the garden for student exhibitions. This space can be used to showcase student work, projects, or artistic displays. It should be versatile and adaptable to accommodate different types of exhibitions.

VISION AIM

After the Ottomans entered Egypt in 1517, Radwan Katkhuda built a large palace in Azbakeya on the edge of the eastern Azbakia pond. He called it the “blue threshold” because its gate that led to Al-Azhar Street was blue, in addition to the presence of blue tiles above. The colors, designs and the full experience are inspired from the place’s great history its Blue calls to mind feelings of calmness or serenity. so Visitors would be immersed in an environment that reflects the cultural and architectural heritage of the palace,

Prioritize the voices of history represented by the bookshop owners in the palace. Their requirements were given top priority in order to create a successful project & to provide the best experience for visitors while ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of the bookshop owners. Two proposals were developed to focus on creating a welcoming environment that facilitates exploration, learning, and a sense of community and to create a harmonious space where visitors can have a memorable experience and bookshop owners can feel comfortable.

VISION AIM

Mongolia is a landlocked country located in Central Asia. It is known for its vast and diverse landscapes, ranging from deserts and steppes to mountains and taigas. Mongolia has a rich nomadic culture and a history that dates back thousands of years The economy of Mongolia is primarily based on agriculture, mining (particularly coal and copper), and livestock herding. The country has significant mineral resources and is one of the world’s largest producers of cashmere.

The park in Ulan Bator aims to achieve sustainable development by considering the strong connection between the Mongolian people and nature. The design should incorporate wide angles, soothing color tones, and clear pathways to create a welcoming environment. It should serve as a gathering place for people to learn from each other, be inspired by nature, and meet their needs while promoting a deeper understanding of life.

SITE SELECTION

The Yaarmag Bus Stop in Mongolia is a notable landmark and transportation hub located in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar. It serves as a major bus terminal and interchange point for various bus routes within the city and beyond. The bus stop is a busy and bustling area where commuters gather to board buses to their desired destinations.

Location of the park is in the center of the town and easy to access by several ways.

The park was designed to increase the green areas in mongolia as it aims to sustainble devolpment and also it has a touristic vision and will be a place of culture exchanges. We created many different zones like, Musuem, culture commercial gates, crafts area, Gathering zones, Festivals zones, Kids area, Sporting Area.

Siberian pine trees are prevalent in Mongolia’s forests and mountains, adapted to the harsh climate. They provide habitat, stabilize soil, and hold cultural significance.

Larch trees are notable for their unique characteristic of shedding their needles in the autumn, similar to deciduous trees, despite being conifers. They have soft, light-green needles that turn yellow or golden before falling off. In spring, new needles emerge and provide a fresh green appearance to the tree.

Poplar trees serve multiple purposes and have several uses. Their wood is commonly used in construction, furniture-making, and for producing paper and pulp. Poplar trees also provide shade and contribute to the aesthetics of landscapes, especially when they form groves or avenues.

The spruce tree belongs to the genus Picea and is a coniferous evergreen tree. Spruce trees are known for their pointed, needle-like leaves and have economic importance as a source of timber. The wood is used in construction, furniture-making, and for various other purposes due to its strength and durability.

Creating gathering areas and public spaces within a park is indeed crucial to provide people with opportunities to have enjoyable moments and make the most of their time in the park. These spaces can enhance social interactions, foster a sense of community, and contribute to the overall well-being of park visitors.

CYCLING PATH

Cycling path in the park hold particular importance as it acts like an entertainment zone but it also has a function, you can see the whole park throught your Bike! its will be a fun journey for all visitors. also it is important as it combins the benefits of cycling with the recreational and natural elements of park environments

LANDMARK

Genkis-Khan statue was on the axe of the Enterance spine and it acts as a main elements which can be seen through all the parks’ zones.
