Book your holiday party at Nieuport 17 now. This is going to be the best year ever to have your family or company gathering at Nieuport 17. We will have all of the holiday decorations up the day after Thanksgiving. Our private party package is available on our website under private parties. This year we welcome Executive Chef Cody Storts. In 2013 Chef Cody was named one of the “Best Chefs in Orange County” by OC Metro Magazine. He has been featured in several guest chef events over the past years at 17 and we are so glad our paths crossed again allowing us to take the culinary experience at 17 to a new level. Cody brings with him one of the most creative and respected culinary teams around. Look for features about all of them in the near future. Chef Cody polished his acumen and technique at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Los Angeles, Chef Cody has since been making great strides and flourishes as somewhat of a Kitchen Ninja. Mounting a campaign to push the boundaries, he scoffs at the challenge of utilizing exotic ingredients or executing unorthodox pairings. cuisine, unique décor, and an intimate cocktail lounge with live entertainment. There are also private rooms for 10-100 available for meetings or events. What is the Nieuport 17? The Nieuport 17 was an early French hi-wing single seat fighter plane in which many allied flyers became aces. This frail but agile little “V-strutter” gained some well-deserved fame as the aeroplane flown by American volunteers of the celebrated Lafayette Escadrille prior to America’s entry into WWI. The new “Nieuport 17? located in “Lafayette Plaza” at Newport Avenue and Irvine Boulevard is the realization of former naval aviator Bill Bettis’ lifelong dream. Bill designed and built his new restaurant to exacting standards and latest state-of-the-art equipment couched in the warm atmosphere of a Tirolean hunting lodge. It all started after his college days at USC and his flying career. Bill became vice president of Cellar Door Restaurants in Houston, Texas, Ten years later he opened the first Nieuport 17 where naturally the theme was aviation. The collection of authentic artifacts, photos and paintings displayed may be one of the finest anywhere. Many of these pieces have been donated by patrons and are proudly displayed for your enjoyment. Our patrons have included such notables as R.G. Smith, Gen. Curtis LeMay, the Blue Angels, The Thunderbirds, Flying Tigers, Gen. Jimmy Doolittle, Gen. Adolf Galland, Eddie Martin, Gunther Rall, Sahuro Sakai, Frank Tallman, Bob Hoover, and other aces and test pilots covering almost the full spectrum of aviation. For over 40 years, it has been our pleasure to serve you and we invite you to come in for dinner and enjoy our fine entertainment.Fine Dinning Orange County Fine Dinning Orange County Book your holiday party at Nieuport 17 now
