Keeping up with the times! DESIGN PROJECT 1 :Technology and the Elderly

Design for the Elderly

Guide Faculty: Dr. Tridha Gajjar Associate Senior Faculty, Graphic Design

Project Background Learning technology is the key in this world, one who doesn’t keep up with the times feels left out in the society. Around the world the elders who grew up in a pre digital age find technology and internet very intimidating and complex. New technologies are not made with the elderly and their needs in mind and have complex user interfaces and not much effort is being done to rectify this. Hence they are hesitant to approach it, but this can slowly and steadily be conquered by a little help from the new generations and will empower them to learn. The smart phone is one such device without which we don not step outside, as its not just a device for messaging and calling but can perform a wide range of functions which are necessary for the elderly as well and will enable them in becoming independent.

BRIGADE 1 in every 20 autos to be driven by women

The colour of liberation, of being you, orange (aboli), is the colour of female driven auto rickshaws in Mumbai. A recent government scheme reserves 5% of the rickshaw permits across the state for women alone. Women have already hit the Mumbai streets as of April 2017, fighting social stigma and finding liberation in their newfound economic independence and freedom.

Photography Religion and Cities We all selected different topics to document the different aspects of old city AHMEDABAD and BARODA like religion , streets , food, architecture and shops. My topic was religion . we tried to capture people’s faith in god and religion, we visited a lot of temples and mosques and other religious places .here are a few of my best clicks.

This particular mushrooms other than helping in nitrogen fixing, they have a symbiotic relationship with the tree it grows under.
