Baseball is played by two teams of nine players with bats and balls. The overall goal is to score runs by hitting a ball thrown at the batter by the pitcher and to travel around the diamand shape field scoring runs. Each team wants to score as many runs as possible without getting out; after three outs the teams switch from the field to at bat.
