My friend Mary Wiggins is the local Chair for Women of Vision SWFL Chapter. This October they had their Fall Get-Together and invited Kelly Aronne-Crigler, World Vision Child Sponsorship Ambassador. She shared her experience of meeting her sponsored child in Tijauna and how it truly was such a blessing. With World Vision you have the opportunity to do Vision trips and visit the children you sponsor. Kelly is a busy mom of five and said yes to God as he tugged on her heart to be a voice for those in need. She has done many fundraising events and one that I found interesting was the Hoops of Hope. She organized this basketball shoot-a-thon to help raise money for World Vision children. Women of Vision is a volunteer ministry of World Vision - a Christian relief and development organization - which equips women to serve impoverished and oppressed women and children worldwide. The Women of Vision SWFL Chapter are dedicated to reaching out specifically to the Immokalee area, and to global ministries as they become available. They have made a commitment to "Celebrate The Girl" each month by hosting "Girls Club" in Immokalee, Florida.
The Chapter volunteers each month to help make Girls Club a success. Because the ministry is growing they are looking to add volunteers.
