VANDIVER PEDIATRIC MEDICAL CENTER [CHILDREN ORIENTATED DESIGN] Located on the outskirts of Columbia, Missouri, Vandiver Pediatric Medical Center addresses the health care industry focused around children. The small complex features an Emergency Room, Diagnostics Department (CT, X-ray, etc.), Medical Office, and Child/Adult Daycare. The project mission is to create a playful and stress-free environment that promotes wellness and a healthy lifestyle for children and adolescents, establishing a connection of generations surrounding the area. Vandiver Pediatric Medical Center will provide a place for parents to bring their sick children, for mom to drop her child off before work, or for a daughter or son to bring their elderly mother. This project provides spaces for the multi-generational culture of Columbia, Missouri.
