One of our group’s executive consultants, Ali Fuller, has worked in strategy consulting for the past 10 years across the country.

The work Ali does is tailored to what organizations need. It could be as simple as an internal staff survey and report, a comprehensive strategic plan drawn from an organization’s vision and mission, strategic priorities, initiatives, implementation plans and anything in between.

From October 2020-March 2021, Ali consulted Hillcrest Family Services in Dubuque on the healthcare organization’s strategic plan, priorities, restructuring of leadership, process improvement, program sustainability and innovation.

Hillcrest President/CEO Mike Fidgeon joined the organization in the midst of the pandemic in 2020. Thinking about the strategic plan, direction and priorities of Hillcrest into the future were among his first considerations. He envisioned innovative and contemporary health services delivery for clients in the community, bringing care to where people are and, at the same time, continuing Hillcrest’s excellent facility-based care.

"Working with Ali, we developed new strategic priorities for Hillcrest Family Services while focusing on three major dimensions—People, Process and Programs," Mike says. “We developed a three-year strategic plan.”

Recruitment and retention of employee talent remains a challenge.

Retention is an issue, locally and nationwide right now, but especially in healthcare. In the consulting process, with Ali and her team’s support, we made great strides to continue improving our organizational culture and morale,
