Ryan Diodati, B.A.’94, was promoted to deputy chief of the Hamilton Police Service, Ontario, Canada. The former superintendent of investigative services is a 23-year veteran of the services. Brenda Beutel, B.S.’98, joined the University of Vermont Health Network’s Elizabethtown Community Hospital as a family nurse practitioner. She has extensive experience as a critical care nurse, nurse manager, and school nurse for special needs children.

Toni Ann (Daley) Walsh, B.S.’00, was named vice president of marketing and development at The Reading League, a national, not-for-profit organization focused on bringing the science of reading into classrooms. Amy (Smith) Engler, B.S.’01, was named executive director of the Clarence, N.Y., Chamber of Commerce. Monica DiSanza Dvoranchik, B.A.’02, is the owner of Sinai Sports, Erie, Pa.’s first ninja warrior gym and multisport training facility. Amber (Zito) Ash, B.S.’03, has been appointed chair of Hospice of the Western Reserve’s Trauma Informed Care Committee. She will be responsible for leading an interdisciplinary group of medical professionals as they provide ongoing trauma education and develop agency policies that are trauma informed. Shannon (Young) Doleski, B.A.’03, is the author of “Mary Underwater,” a middle-grade fiction book that will be published by Abrams/ Amulet.
Niagara University staff, students, and alumni were treated to dinner at the home of Kevin Callahan, ’90, during a one-week B.A.S.I.C (Brothers and Sisters in Christ) mission trip to Texas in January to help rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Harvey. They also enjoyed the hospitality of Matt, ’91, and Elaine Flynn Nowak, ’90, during the trip.

manager at Highlands Playhouse in North Carolina.

He joined the organization in 2011 as a financial analyst specialist and also held the title of strategic planning manager. Ryan Virtue, B.S.’07, was selected to serve as a member of Greater Cleveland Sports Commissions’ Associate Board. This group aids the commission in attracting, creating, managing, and enhancing sporting and competitive events. Nicole (Buchheit) Whitt, BBA’07, is the recipient of a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching, the highest award given by the U.S. government to kindergarten through 12th grade teachers of mathematics and science. Nicole is a teacher at Empire High School in Tucson, Ariz. Elizabeth Woock, B.S.’07, has been promoted to director of marketing at Destination Niagara USA, the official destination marketing organization for Niagara Falls, N.Y. and Niagara County.
