NGU GEOSCIENCE PORTAL

The Geoscience Portal is NGU’s access point for airborne geophysics, petrophysics and several ground-borne geophysical data like gravimetry. Depending on the survey, airborne (fixed wing and helicopter) data may include Magnetics, Radiometrics, Resistivity and FDEM or VLF

The portal allows an overview and preview of all existing data and provides meta-information for the individual data and surveys. Apart from individual surveys, compilations for different parts of Norway are also available. Additionally, a set of external data like mining rights (Directorate of Mining), bedrock geology or mineral resources (NGU) can be added to a map for e.g., orientation purposes or detailed studies. The available download manager facilitates direct download of selected data in Geosoft. grd or ERMapper. ers format. Individual compiled maps can be saved as Geotif to local machines.
