Brickview Inn The Brickview Inn, NFA’s studentrun restaurant, opened last month for the 25th season. The capstone course for students following culinary arts career-cluster, or for those merely interested in foods, is directed by consumer and food sciences teacher Janel O’Neil. Students learn about the full spectrum of the food industry from planning and preparation, to front-line service and business management. The program offers a sequence of study including World Foods, Gourmet Cooking, North American Regional Cuisines, and Restaurant Management. Next year, the department plans to offer an additional course, Bakeshop. On the ground level of the Cranston Building, the Brickview Inn serves lunch, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays; the public is welcome in the intimate, bustling venue on campus.
