THINGS GET SOLVED WHEN YOU GET INVOLVED.

NEW YORK EDGE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES New York Edge welcomes both individual volunteers and corporate groups to participate in enriching opportunities with our students. Structured volunteer opportunities include Speed Mentoring, which engages corporate professionals, participation on our Young Professionals Council, and program and fundraising event volunteer roles. Opportunities are offered throughout the year – including the summer, and in all five boroughs as well as online.

PARTICIPATE IN SPEED MENTORING

Speed mentoring is a great way to connect New York City public school students with professionals in a multitude of industries to create open conversations on high school, college, career paths, and life choices. Students and volunteers rotate for a series of mini-mentoring sessions to keep the conversations flowing and exchange stories with multiple professionals. Become a mentor to give students the edge they need to succeed!

Motivate students to understand the importance of being prepared for college and their future careers by sharing your own experiences. This opportunity is great for corporations who would like to engage employees from different departments so that our students can gain a solid understanding of the different components that make up a company. ADOPT A CLASSROOM Be a champion for one of our classrooms and help them fulfill their Amazon Wishlists for supplies and other supplemental materials that will enhance the learning experience for our students.
