D’Alessio’s & OTB Café To Open Across From FHWC

Two new restaurants are poised to fill the voids in the Shoppes of Wesley Chapel shopping plaza, which is located directly across BBD from Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel (FHWC) and already is home to Dickey’s BBQ, The Hungry Greek & the Latin Twist Café. Moving into the space vacated by Baja Fresh is D’Alessio’s Restaurante, which will be a casual fine dining Italian restaurant and gourmet pizzeria. Owner Dom D’Alessio says his brother owns Francesco’s Pizzeria in Dade City, which has been very successful, “but this will be a little more upscale, with fine wines, beer and a unique Italian menu.” Dom says D’Alessio’s should open sometime this month. In addition, according to a flier posted on the window, Only The Best (O.T.B.) Delights Café will be moving into the space vacated by The Brewhouse coffee shop and Buddy’s Hot Dogs“We will be up early to provide you, our guest, a savory breakfast to start your day,” the flier reads. “We are working hard to open soon and can’t wait to see you!” The flier says that the restaurant will focus on using local ingredients that don’t include unnatural nitrates, antibiotics or hormones and try to use as little processed food as possible. Advanced Hand & Plastic Surgery Center Cuts Ribbon Most people don’t realize how important their hands are to daily living until something bad happens to those extremities. Trauma from motor vehicle accidents, fractures and other incidents can have debilitating effects. That’s where the specialists from the Advanced Hand & Plastic Surgery Center can help. The office, which has been open for about a year in the Cypress Ridge Professional Park off S.R. 56, celebrated on Nov. 1 by hosting na Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce (WCCC) ribbon-cutting event (photo). “We’re really glad to be in this area of Wesley Chapel and to let people know of our services,” said Roy Sulma, a registered/licensed occupational therapist and certified hand therapist (OTR/L and CHT) at Advanced. The office — headed by M.D.s Luis A. Laurentin-Perez, Francisco A. SchwartzFernandes and Scott Gargasz — handles injuries, deformities and disorders concerning the hand, wrist and upper extremities. That includes anything from amputations and nerve damage to trigger fingers and cysts. “The hand is so intricate and complicated and can have a big impact on functions,” Sulma said. The office, which accepts major insurance providers, also sees patients for plastic

surgery for aesthetic purposes. Following a ceremonial snipping of the ribbon Nov. 1, staff members gave a tour of the office’s technology and its newer (see below) digs. “Welcome to Wesley Chapel,” Cindy Freeman, membership coordinator for the WCCC said at the ribbon-cutting. Freeman added that the office has brought an estimated 30 jobs to the community. Advanced has an original location on Habana Ave. in Tampa that the practice had outgrown. Dr. Laurentin-Perez said the opening of the Wesley Chapel office made sense since some of the medical staff already lived in the Wesley Chapel area. “We are thrilled we are here,” he said.
