Wellandport library underway The $1.33 million renovation of Wellandport Library and Community Centre is underway. An official groundbreaking ceremony was held last Wednesday. Work on the project to improve accessibility will include renovating and expanding the library and adding accessible washrooms and doors. Environmental improvements will
include installing a new roof, furnace and windows that will maximize use of natural lighting. The space will also feature an indoor/outdoor community living room and an Indigenous Medicine and Food garden. Up to $440,000 of the construction cost will be covered by a Fed-Dev grant as part of the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.
